So midfield are down Thiago and Carvalho, back four Matip and maybe Joe...
Crazy... crazy.

There's a good chance Sepp Van Dem Berg's name will be on that list before the window closes as well.

It's not just money coming in from sales. it's massive wages coming off of the wage bill aswell.

It looks like another miserable transfer window for us fans.

That was a good read Reg.  Real owe serious money as well but somehow still manage the mega signings every year. At least Barca are attempting to adjust. Clubs should be forced to reduce debts to at least 40% of the Net value of the club.

Don't know if you read it and wasn't posted here but apparently UTD would have failed the PSR test a few years back only for the covid payments. Every club got 1 mil but somehow UTD got 40mil  They were discussing it on Jim Whites show about 10 days ago.

I still think signings are coming. Hopefully a game changer is among them.

Just reading there Sepps transfer is done. £20mil + 5 in add ons. That's 50 in from sales not forgetting the little kickback from the Solanke move.
Big chance Joe will go and possibly Kelleher.

What gets me is that we seem hell bent on a keeper and Gordon. Seen it on the Echo that we are looking to resurrect that deal. Has to be an attacker leaving for that though I reckon.

There's been a rumour about Diaz wanting to fulfil a childhood dream and play for Barca circulating for a while now which has been worrying, i hope there's nothing in that. I know you're not that keen on Gordon mate but i think he'd be a decent addition to the squad - with addition being the operative word. Swapping Luis for Gordon would deffo be a backward step but a squad with both Diaz and Gordon in it however would look half decent imo.

They've just let  Ilkay Gundogan go back to City on a free, they can't afford to buy a packet of crisps Yakka, never mind Diaz.

I sincerely hope these rumours about Rabiot are all his agent's doing. Don't rate him at all

Alisson rejected offers from Saudi Arabia and wants to stay here at least until his contract is up and even beyond that. He's only 31 and goalies could play at a top level until they're 40, so I'd definitely keep him here for another 5 years at least. Signing that Georgian lad makes even less sense now.

It could be we were looking at him as we knew we may lose Allison and now he has come out and said he’s staying that other deal maybe dead

This window has been pure insanity so far. Massive sales and a huge chunk of the wage bill gone and the only transfer likely to happen right now is for a keeper...which is one position that is set for the next few years. Paying 30-40 million only to loan him back to his current club with the intent of makiing him 1st choice in a few YEARS time. Madness when the squad is thin overall.
The worst part? Next summer is going to be even worse with a very thin squad losing probaböy 3 very influental player on a free.

Making a move for Chiesa for £15m as its his last year of his contract. Good player, but always out injured. We need Cover for Salah so it's quite a good move for the money. I'd have preferred Kvaratskhelia, but he's too expensive.

Chiesa was superb before he did his ACL. Was fantastic in the Euro finals in 2021. Struggled afterwards but believe started to do a bit better last season. If he can get close to his form/ability pre injury, he'd be fantastic for us imo however who knows if he hits those levels again. Guessing we have moved on to him if we've conceded defeat in our pursuit of Gordon. Also few bits on twitter that we may have interest in Eze but not sure I buy that.

Was never convinced about Chiesa tbh. Always heard the hype but never seen it anytime I seen him play. Thought he was mostly average. That's based mostly on international games plus the odd CL game. His goalscoring ratio is around 1 in 4.

I guess he will be back up to Salah if he comes with the hope of stepping up when he leaves next year. We need to be really careful with his medical though and make sure we aren't taking on a Croc.

Last season he did feature more compared to his previous ones. Hope we don't end up with a other Aquilani. Decent option for the price though, better than not having any inclusions.
