Not sure mate, I don’t know much about him tbh, heard the name though and Jurgen had a good side at Dortmund that pipped Bayern to the title twice and got to a CL final so he must have been pretty decent.

Probably not the marquee signing we were expecting, but it's something...

He was on the verge of signing for Celtic apparently.
Fee agreed at £2m, the fact the lad refused to sign a contract extension at Preston and would have been a free agent in the summer kept the fee down. I’ve seen a few Preston fans on forums etc say he’s the best CB they’ve had in years.
Let’s face it the lad is probably an emergency stop gap Steven Caulker type signing but Robbo was similarly unheralded when he arrived and look at him now so you never know.

Klopp has a habit of getting the best out of players so with any luck this one will pay off. Best of luck to the lad who I am sure at this moment feels like he's in a dream 

Win/win for us.

Liverpool's defensive issues won't be solved by "steady Eddie" Ben Davies according to Mark Lawrenson, who thinks Nathaniel Phillips is "probably a better player" than the Preston North End star.

Goal has reported that Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Davies for £2 million ($2.75m) from Preston before the January transfer window closes.

Jurgen Klopp has been seeking cover at centre-back amid an injury crisis which has seen Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Fabinho sidelined, and appears to have finally landed his man.

Thing about Matip is, he's actually a decent player, but if you can't rely on him then you need to replace.
Don't know anything about the Preston lad but Lawro's assessment gives me little confidence. That said, I think the powers that be won't spend even as little as £2M if they don't think it prudent.
The Croatian lad is a complete unknown to me also but at least he has played at a higher level...if indeed he is a legit target.

Because we've posted a £100m loss and no one knows when things will return to normal again.

That said, we are pushing for a Kabak loan deal as we speak. It'll cost us £2.5m, apparently.

Mustafi is reported to be going to Schalke now to allow Kabak to leave on an initial loan deal

The way things have been with Covid since December, I think there might have been a genuine concern that the season could get called off. I think there was even talk of a vote in Scotland.
