We are getting the ‘like a new signing’ signal again, Lallana and Woodburn this means no more incomings.

We should walk the top 4 even with this group providing we stay the distance, if not then only ourselves to blame, frugal to the point of failure.

I think it will be a mistake for the club to assume that just because we are good enough to beat City then top 4 must be a given.
From our point of view City were the perfect opponents for our gegenpressing style, most teams are going to get everyone behind the ball and defend deep.

I agree, we seem to miss judge or Miss time the bigger picture..it's almost a pattern with this team..We have the funds why should we weaken our chances of winning the CL and securing a top 4..it's really beyond belief..One star left one potential star joined how come it places us in a better condition?

Not really. Klopp says "we're not looking at players who we don't know"...which means he knows his targets. I'm guessing he knows they're unavailable until the summer. 

Given Klopp's transfer record, I'm happy for him to hold out for more class signings like VVD, Mane and Salah.

Klopp is willing to wait , you are willing to hold but the tide of History might have other plans...Are you confident we can guarantee CL footall next year? Aren't you eager to launch a real challenge for the CL title this year? Sorry I don't get this position..We now have a lack of a creator in our MF why not attempt and close it? Sign someone ,worse case he stinks..i would rather we try then just play it out..it's illogical.

He is right though Mags,to sell your best player midway through a season and not replace him is a massive gamble, could you see Chelsea selling Hazard in January or Spurs Kane?
Jurgen can line up who he wants but that Thursday/Sunday Europa League schedule is regarded as football's equivalent of the graveyard shift, how many £100m players are going to be attracted by the prospect of that?
If we don't make that top 4 our plans will have to change.
