Liverpool are lining up a deal to sign Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia after he impressed their scouts, according to reports.

The versatile Frenchman has made 39 appearances for Monaco and is rated as one of the best young midfielders around.

And claims in France say the Reds are now keen on a summer transfer after Kondogbia, who can also play centre back, impressed their scouts.

The 22-year-old made a £20m move from Sevilla in 2013 and scored for Monaco in this year's champions League clash against Arsenal.

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on the £8.8million signing of Barcelona right-back Martin Montoya.

The Reds are keen to secure a transfer for the Spaniard who has been unable to usurp Dani Alves at the Nou Camp.

Montoya, 23, is ready to leave the Catalan giants in search of regular first team football, and claims in Spain say Liverpool have moved in and look set to land him, with an announcement on his future expected shortly.

Brendan Rodgers is desperate to strengthen the right-back position and Montoya could be the perfect fit.

Liverpool are ready to hijack Chelsea's interest in Brazilian star Douglas Costa, according to reports.

Costa was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in January, and it is thought that Jose Mourinho will rekindle his interest in the player over the summer.

Last week it was claimed that Chelsea would look to offload Stoke loanee Victor Moses on a permanent deal to help create room for Costa at Stamford Bridge.

That was set to see Chelsea beat Manchester United and Arsenal - both linked with the Shakhtar ace - to the 24-year-old in a £20million deal.

But Liverpool will now look to get in on the action, according to the Metro. It is claimed that Liverpool won't be able to compete when it comes to the financial offer on the table, but will guarantee regular playing time, which could swing things in the Anfield outfit's favour.

Liverpool are monitoring Monaco star Geoffrey Kondogbia as they look to strengthen their midfield options over the summer.

The Frenchman has been in impressive form for the Ligue 1 outfit this season and starred in their shock win over Arsenal at the Emirates in the Champions League, opening the scoring in the 3-1 victory.

His defensive qualities have particularly impressed Reds' boss Brendan Rodgers, who has reportedly sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old in recent weeks.

It may take £20m to convince Monaco to sell, but Liverpool will be desperate to strengthen in midfield.

Liverpool are lining up a move for Sporting Lisbon keeper Rui Patricio as competition for Simon Mignolet, according to reports.

Brendan Rodgers has been on the hunt for a keeper to provide competition for Mignolet for some time.

Reports in Portugal today suggest that Patricio may be open to a move.

Patricio was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal earlier in his career, but despite turning 27 recently has never moved on from Sporting Lisbon.

The Portuguese international is thought to be keen on a move abroad and may be willing to accept a battle with Mignolet if Liverpool come calling, according to A Bola.

Liverpool have been told they can sign Miralem Pjanic from Roma this summer for just £21.8million, according to reports.

With Steven Gerrard set to end his 17-year association with the Reds this summer, manager Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for a replacement for the former England captain, and Roma star Pjanic fits the bill.

The Bosnian international has been in impressive form for the Giallorossi this term, notching six goals and as many assists for Rudi Garcia's Scudetto-chasing side, and the former Lyon man is attracting the attention of a number of European heavyweights.

According to Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport, Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in Pjanic, with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain all believed to be keen.

And Roma have apparently made it clear to suitors that they'd sell the Bosnian for a fee of £21.8million.

Liverpool would be able to offer regular first-team football to the player, which should make them front runners.

Liverpool could use some of the £50m they could receive for Raheem Sterling to sign Barcelona forward Pedro, according to Mail Online.

Pedro is considering his future at Camp Nou given he has fallen behind in the pecking order to Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar. He would command wages of around £90k-a-week, though Liverpool are still keen to keep a hold of Sterling.

They've already offered the player a new £100k-a-week deal, however, the player is rumoured to have turned the offer down - and talks won't resume with the player until the end of the season.

Liverpool have made their interest known in Shakhtar Donetsk star and Chelsea target Douglas Costa, according to the Metro.

The Reds lost out on Diego Costa a couple of summers back - with the player going on to join Chelsea - but Liverpool want to swoop in and get the Brazilian instead, with the belief that he could lean towards them because of the offer of regular first team football.

Costa could cost around £20m.

Liverpool and Manchester United have reportedly been told they will have to pay just £22million if they want to sign Miralem Pjanic.

The 25-year-old has been viewed as the ideal player to replace Steven Gerrard at Anfield.

Manchester United on the other hand have been keeping an eye on Pjanic, with Louis van Gaal promised a big kitty to spend on players.

Italian paper Corriere Dello Sport claim Liverpool are one of several clubs tracking Pjanic. And it will take a £22m bid to bring him to the Premier League.

It was originally thought Pjanic would fetch around £37m, but the latest figure represents a bargain.

Pjanic has been in impressive form this term for Roma, and has hit six goals this term for Rudi Garcia's side.

Manchester United,  Liverpool and Arsenal are on alert with Lucas Moura's contract talks at PSG hitting a stumbling block, according to reports.

It was claimed last year that PSG were ready to sell Moura in January, with the Brazilian failing to meet expectations at the Parc des Princes.

But the 22-year-old has impressed in recent times and has now opened negotiations over a new deal in the French capital.

Moura's current contract doesn't expire until 2017, but the early indications are that he could be at loggerheads with PSG over his demands.

According to French magazine Le10Sport, Moura has been offered £57,0000-a-week but wants closer to £82,000-a-week.

And if a compromise can't be struck Moura could end up back on the market this summer.

United, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with Moura in the past.

Liverpool are ready to test the resolve of Stoke by offering £12million for goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The Potters have spoken of their determination to tie the Bosnia international down to a new deal before he enters the last 12 months of his contract, but he has yet to sign.

Begovic says he is in no rush to pen a new deal and is happy at the Britannia Stadium, but Liverpool could still test the water by making a bid in the summer.

Liverpool are ready to make a move to sign Javier Hernandez from Manchester United at the end of the season.

Hernandez, who is currently on-loan at Real Madrid, is set to return to Old Trafford this summer - where he is expected to be sold.

Tottenham and West Ham have shown an interest, but reports in Spain say Liverpool are also in the race for the player and are looking to do business.

A move to such a rival would not be easy, but Hernandez has no future at United and Liverpool could stump up about £14million to get him signed.

Liverpool have reportedly offered Dani Alves a contract to join the Anfield club next season.

The Brazilian right-back has been free to agree a pre-contract deal with clubs outside of Spain since January due to his Barca deal expiring in June.

Reports in Spain have claimed that the Reds have tabled the deal to the South American.

Barca have also moved to offer Alves a new deal, according to Sport, but the report claims that the former Sevilla star could consider the offer from Anfield after growing frustrated with his club's decision to wait until April to state their terms.
