He makes Suarez look a choir boy - he is a decent player , is a bit physical and likes to drop deep , not a big scorer. I think you could compare him to Kuyt but I'm not sure where he would fit in if Suarez stays - and he isn't a £22mil pound striker.

If you read what was put it clearly says not a replacement for suarez.

Good signing of we can get him.

Could definitely be a case of getting his replacement in first before allowing him to leave.

Come on!!!!! You moaned we never coughed up the cash for Papa. You moaned we never coughed up the cash for Mkhitaryan and now we pay the release clause for this guy and you moan that he is not worth it

the money should have went on papadopolous, and if rodgers had his heart set on an attacker i cant understand why we didnt buy someone like erickson.
totally underwhelmed by this fella, i cant see how he fits into our front line at all.

At least the owners and manager are actually putting some money down for a decent player - he may not work out or fit in ( think he will because he works very hard and could work well with Coutinho ) but at least the club is showing intent and ambition - that's what I want to see.

Exactly Benny. Lets just hope there still is a bit of money put away for Papa and if Suarez stays we look strong.

That would certainly look a stronger team that what we currently have and that would get close to challenging for a CL spot

@English_AS: Atlético have refuted claims that they have received an offer from Liverpool for Diego Costa, saying he is not for sale.

surely if he has a release clause then Atheltico dont have a choice. Unless its similar to Suarez in which they arent obliged to sell at any price

i dont know anything about this player, other than he is 24 and brazillian

has anyone watched a fair bit of him and have some first hand feedback please ?

When I have seen him he reminds me a bit of Kuyt - hard working , great engine , very determined player , decent skill , drops off a main striker and pops up with crucial goals. Bit of a discipline problem though

Well it will soon become clear whether a  bid has been made or not.

Just really hope that he doesnt replace Suarez
