Not bad but I doubt that well get Young, considering how incredibly overpriced Milner was.  Forlan is also good, but hes old and would he want to come here?

Heard we're after Forlan now... I know that he's an ex United player but he is in my top 5 players (For the record he has been my fav since he LEFT United and joined Villareal). He is kind of old though, playing his best games at the momment but still kind of old. And it doesnt mean that if he does well in Spain he will do in England as well (at the time he diddnt actully). Plus, if I remmember well, Spurs offerd 20 mil for him and Atletico rejected.

so a player comes to the prem cannot score and then gets sent back to spain were he starts scoring again. Now you wona bring the player back to the prem what planet are you from. No his teamate suarez i wouldnt mind.

The hell are you talking about? I said that he didnt do well in England (In the prem.). I said that he does well in Primera now which doesnt mean that he'll play good in the Premier League. I only said that he's a great player and that he's one of my favs. Did you even read my post?

I don't know if there is any truth whatsoever in the Alexis Sanchez story (source btw?), but he is definitely the type of player we desperately need (ie one who can actually take on opponents and create something out of nothing). Many teams will be interested in him though I would expect (have heard rumours about the mancs being interested as well for example).

Never usually do this but may ideal squad to start next season and fairly possible I think

Reina
Jones
Gulacsi

Johnson
Kelly

NEW LEFT BACK
Konchesky

NEW CENTRE BACK
Agger
Carragher
Wilson
Ayala

Affellay (NEW – Bosman)
Wright-Phillips (NEW)
Amoo

A.Young (NEW)
Shaquiri (NEW – Bosman)
Ince

Gerrard
Meireles
Shelvey
Lucas
Poulsen
Spearing

Joe Cole
Aquilani
Pacheco

Torres
NEW STRIKER
Kuyt
Ngoo

That means NEW Players
Left Back (7m approx), Centre Back (10m approx), Wright-Philips (8m approx), Affellay (free), Young (15m approx), Shaquiri (free), New Striker (25m approx)
Total = 65m approx

SELL
Aurelio (free)
Skrtel (7m)
Kyriakos (2m)
El Zhar (0.5m)
Maxi (2m)
Babel (10m)
Jovanovic (2m)
Ngog (5m)
Total = 28m approx

Any thoughts???

I actually like the look of Alexis Sanchez for right wing but may be stretching it so might have to stick with Wright-Phillips and Affellay

Thoughts?   Far too much money for us, with a net spend of around £35m.

I also don't see THAT many players leaving.

No problem with any of your targets though.

I suspect we will sign two, maybe three players in Jan.

A striker, a winger and maybe a CB (although I don't think we need a CB as a priority).

A LB is more urgent I think.

Llorente looks good, Ashley Young (yes please), but SWP much more likely for our budget, and LB...who knows, would love Gibbs but can't see Arsenal selling, so hey why not get Insua back???

My post for January transfer window was:

2 big January signings needed
I reckon Ashley Young would be a great 1st signing (not wanting a new contract at Villa).
2nd signing definately a striker… Dzeko, Aguero, Benzema, Llorente, Suarez or Gomez would be quality.

In summer Affellay and Shaquiri both on a free.

Wingers then sorted for now.. Young (LM), Affellay (RM), Shaquiri (LM), Maxi (RM), Ince (LM), Amoo (RM)….Kuyt and Joe Cole can also cover
Sell…. Babel, Jovanovic, El Zhar

Stikers then sorted…… Torres, (big name striker from January), Kuyt, Pacheco, Eccleston
Sell……..Ngog

Then concentrate on new left back and maybe new strong aerial central defender

Llorente is not fit to tie Fernando's shoe laces.
