I know it's the French league and all but I think we should go all out to get him in the Summer. But I think he won't come unless we qualify for the CL.

It's really simple. If LFC want to compete for the EPL title and to do well in the Champions League then we need to be buying the best talent around. Hazard is one of the best up and coming talents that there are. We cannot continue to let the best players go to other teams. I hate to bring up the Carroll argument, but if we can go and spend 35m on Carroll then we need to be putting the money forward for players like Hazard.

You cant see it happening if the lad has his pick from Europes elite and in particular the Spanish giants. Maybe the fair play rules may open up one or two things for us if some of these big hitters cool it for a window or two and that would be my hope. Until then I can see us continue to miss out on the top dogs and have to look hard for value with Suarez being the kind of work we need to be producing in the transfer marke to close the gaps a little.

Like I said in the rumors thread, Lille want ridiculous money for him, so I doubt we'll be buying him. If we really want a player like that, Gotze from Dortmund looks like a nice alternative.

hopefully with joe being there and settling in well it will give us some advantage for his signature.
thought i read it a while back though he was just interested in madrid,shame as he is exactly what we need.

I was listening to the phone-in on City FM the other day and they were explaining that Hazard has indicated it is Madrid or Barca only and there is no possiblity that he will end up here.
