was just watching the last 10mins or so of their preseason game and i have to say its a shame some of their youngsters will probably never get a chance to prove their worth... atleast 3 of them looked very impressive (Vladimir Weiss, Kelvin Etuhu & Ben Mee) ...
They should really send them all out on loan their squad is way too big atm... they could probably put together atleast 2 different starting 11s that would look better than most of the other sides in the league outside the top 4.. and thats without the youngsters..

Man City a small club - Ferguson

Ferguson and his squad are on a pre-season tour in China
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says Manchester City "are a small club with a small mentality".

The Scot is unimpressed by City signing Carlos Tevez when the Argentine left Old Trafford at the end of last season.

A city-centre billboard appeared soon after, saying "Carlos Tevez, welcome to Manchester" under a sky-blue graphic.

"It's City isn't it? They're a small club with a small mentality. All they can talk about is Manchester United; they can't get away from it," he said.

"They think taking Carlos Tevez away from Manchester United is a triumph. It is poor stuff."

Manchester City have spent heavily in recent weeks, with Emmanuel Adebayor signing from Arsenal for about £25m, midfielder Barry coming from Aston Villa for £12m, Paraguayan frontman Santa Cruz costing £18m from Blackburn, and Tevez arriving for £25m.

The billboard poster went up in Manchester after Tevez signed for City
Ferguson, who was speaking on the Premier League champions' pre-season tour in China, claimed that Adebayor had attempted to sign for Manchester United before committing to City.

"When someone offers you that kind of money, it is a big attraction," said Ferguson. "That is the reason they have gone there.

"At the last minute, from what I can gather, either Emmanuel Adebayor or his agent phoned us after they had agreed a deal with City and then did the same with Chelsea. He was desperate to get to either Chelsea or us."

Toure agrees City switch   - Four-year deal for Ivory Coast star   - 29th July 2009

Kolo Toure has agreed terms with Manchester City and is now set to undergo his medical, skysports.com understands.

The Ivorian star is set to leave Arsenal after the two clubs agreed a deal in excess of £15million for the central defender.

Toure has been with The Gunners since 2002 when Arsene Wenger paid a nominal fee to bring him from his native Ivory Coast, but he now set to leave the North London giants.

Toure has now travelled to Manchester for his medical, ahead of the deal being confirmed.

Skysports.com understands that Toure has agreed a four-year deal with the Eastlands club and his signing could be confirmed within the next 24 hours.

It'd be a héll of a lot cheaper for Man Citeh to get replicas of the CL and EPL cups made and put them in the trophy cabinet.
