I think it's conceivable that the threat will arise from more than one team. We haven't had a league contested between three or four teams until the death, for a long time.
Although some people have suggested Chelsea will improve now that Mourinho has gone, I think the opposite will happen. I don't know a lot about Avram Grant, but all of Mourinho's back room staff have left with the exception of Steve Clarke. Is their new manager going to alter their philosophy, will he be as meticulous as Mourinho in his planning, how will training change? Will their fitness regime change?
There are many questions that need answered. You only have to look at the state of FC Porto in the immediate post Mourinho period to understand why they may have a few problems. If Grant fails miserably short term, will Abramovich persevere with him until the end of the season?
I can certaily see the unbeaten record at Stamford Bridge that Mourinho held going at some stage this season.
The Mancs will always be hanging around at the top somewhere.
Arsenal's weaknesses have been exploited at times this season, they've had by no means a perfect start.
Lehmann in the Blackburn game, and the Fulham game for one.
Had Spurs not capitulated and taken their chances at 1-0 it could have been very different.
Unquestionably they have changed their style a little bit, they are getting it wide in the final third more so than previously and are providing crosses, predominantly low crosses to feet as well as cut backs into the box. Eduardo may just be the man to profit from this.
I still question whether or not they have enough strength through the middle and along the flanks. Lehmann is always a liability, despite pulling of some quality saves at times.
I don't think they have great variance in their play.
