The Premiership - General Discussion

the matador - RAWK.

I’m sure I write for many Reds, if not football fans the world over. Regardless of club loyalty or feelings about other clubs, such as Chelsea in this case, none of us want to see the type of injuries incurred by Peter Cech and Carlo Cudicini this weekend.

Both were knocked unconscious in seemingly innocuous challenges with Reading players. I really hope that Chelsea and their outspoken manager do not try to use these terrible injuries as emotional currency for their club, rather join with all true football fans and just hope that two of the games very talented players make a swift and full recovery.

agreed. sympathies to the two players and all the best in recovering well.

As much as I hate Sh*tski, I sincerely wish Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini the best in their recovery.

As mentioned - club loyalties don't count for more than people's wellbeing.

Big blow that for Chelsea, hope they can get back to full health if it was us it had happened to we would be screaming blue murder.
Cechs injury seems really bad even though Cudicini's looked worse.
And worst thing is the mancs could go on to win the league cause of this
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Best wishes to both keepers as they  are two of the games better goalies.

Just thought it was typical selfish bollox from maureenho to have a go at the reading player who collided with Cech in the post match interview. It was an accidental coming together that has resulted in a very bad injury to Cech.

Agree with the sentiments above, will caveat it with : "If it happened a week earlier, we might have got all 3 points in Lansdowne Road".....I wish them both a speedy recovery

Goalkeepers dont get injured often but when they do it tends to be quite bad. I couldn't believe it when I heard what had happened, I hope that both of them will recover quickly.

Get well soon Cech and Cudicini

I've seen both and none were deliberate!
Of course Maureen is screaming blue murder and saying that the Cech incident was deliberate! What a load of balls. Its tough shi.t as far as im concerned!
As for all the outpouring of sympathies,i think i'll hold mine for now!
It would be regrettable if the keepers were dead yes but both will be fine in time after some recovery time in their million pound mansions and TLC !

Its Chelsea we're talking about here.....Fu.ck them they'll be fine in time!

The two keepers are fine ffs!
Yes the injuries were pretty rough but that happens.
To hear some of the above you'd think it WAS Reina or Dudek.
I've got an idea since you all care about them so much why not club together and send some flowers and get well cards! :D :D

Maybe I'm being cynical but did anyone see the shots on Sky Sports News tonight of the Chelski squad visiting Cech in Hospital? They all turned up in black people carriers and amazingly the press were there to see it, if that wasn't choreographed I don't know what is......!
