Owen - I know, yet another topic...but!

The Premiership - General Discussion

am i the only one to notice his lack of interest in playing for Newcastle??  He's spent more time on the benches than on the pitch and now even the Cartoon army are starting to grumble.  For 17 million pounds, it would appear they have bought a player whose main concern is staying fit for the world cup......as ever, Owen is looking after no 1.  just like he (thought) he was when he screwed us to get a transfer to Real Madrid.

I think Owen often looks disinterested.  He did against Argentina and he often did for us.  He's like a sniper, you don't notice him, then BANG! you're one-nil down!

Id still like him playing in a Liverpool team managed by Raffa....   but hey ho, thats life!

Anyway we've got Crouch!

Newcastle fans are complaining [every right to do so] about him not playing and how he always is fit for England but not for Newcastle.

Is it any surprise AB?  Forgive me for being a tad cynical, but probably realistic, Owen moved to Newcastle for himelf, i.e. first team football and his England place. In the summer if a big club come in for him he'll be off in a shot.

could be a possibility next summer...but would depend on how much.  If rumours are to be believed, Owen has an 11million get out clause (should Newcastle not get into the Champions league   )  and Rafa might be tempted.  but, he won't pay 17 million and rightly so.
