Milan - Kaka's not for sale - Berlusconi rejects talk of Man City's interest in Brazilian

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has played down speculation that continues to suggest Kaka could move to Manchester City.

The talismanic Brazilian has been linked with a switch to Eastlands ever since the Abu Dhabi United Group took control at City and immediately made bold exclamations with regards transfer policy.

Kaka has been mooted as a possible target and on Tuesday it was reported senior City representatives had met with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani to discuss a possible transfer.

City's sensational capture of Robinho under the nose of Chelsea proved Mark Hughes' side have the spending power to entice world class talent, but Berlusconi insists Kaka is not for sale.

"I know nothing about a Manchester City offer for Kaka," said Berlusconi.

"I think he's not transferable and given that is the case, he will stay at Milan."

In November the 26-year-old admitted he was flattered by City's reported interest, while at the same time accepting a Milan exit would be difficult.

Cant see it. When abramovich took over chelsea kaka was linked with them for years and nothing happened, now city have millions to spend he is now associated with them. Wont happen, I think if he did leave milan it would be for a spanish team (madrid or barcelona).

If you were Kaka would you go to city?

Why would he go? For money?

If he leaves Milan no matter were he goes he can command at the very least 120,000 a week if not more and still be at a top club

Scrap what I just said if this is true

Manchester City have offered AC Milan £100m in cash for Brazilian superstar Kaka, who will earn £500,000 a week gross if he signs for the Premier League side. (Daily Mail, 2301 GMT)

Imagine he did sign and in his first game he got clattered by some Stoke player and broke his leg.

Out for 9 months

If those terms are to be believed (which I doubt sincerely), then Man City are embarking on the ruination of global football. Chelsea started it, but couldn't see the job through as Abramovich's dirty roubles aren't worth the bogroll they're written on in the current climate.

Unfortunately, the one thing that will never stop being bought is oil, and our Arabian friends know all about that...

Will they beat Blackpool  :D

I think it will kill the prem if they start offering those sort of wages. All the other top players are going to see that and want similar instead of struggling along on £100k a week.

Going to change my mind on this one.

I think Kaka is on his way to City, if not now then at the end of the season.

Just the facts that Milan have not come out and quashed the rumours (which is unlike them - they were always quick to do so when Chelsea sniffed around Kaka in the past), and the noises coming from Kaka's agent.
