Has anyone seen this - Times premiership preview

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby dward » Sat Aug 13, 2005 2:34 pm

The Times have this 24 page page special on the premiership.
has anyone seen it?

these are the predictions where the teams will finish: :nod

Chel$ki: "They will keep the title as if they have paid for it. Which, of course, they have. Champions"

ARSEnal: "At least one place ahead of Manchester United. Again. Second"

Manure/Scum: "Third"

LIVERPOOL: "Steven Gerrard. No make that fourth."

Neverton: "Fourth. Only joking. All good things must come to an end. Ninth"

Man City: "Fifth. Even with Andy Cole up front"

Bolton: "The rest of the Premiership are beginning to catch on to Big Sam's ways. Tenth"

Boro: "Seventh"

Fulham: " Come in No 10, your time is up. Nineteenth"

Newcastle: "Another InterToto summer of love beckons. Thirteenth"

Sunderland: "Turn the light out as you leave. Eighteenth"

West Brom: "Steve McQueen impressionists hit hard times in the Black Country. Shame. Sixteenth"

West Ham: "The bubbles borst once more. Twentieth"

Wigan: "And they said it wouldn't last! Seventeenth"

Blackburn: "Buying Welsh not quite the same quality as those French imports, Mark. Fourteenth"

Portsmouth: "Good news for the home fans, bad news for the opposing ones who have yet to find a decent pub in the port. Fifteenth"

Aston Villa: "Actions speak louder than any David O'Leary blarney. Twelfth"

Birmingham: "Opponents suffer enough and finally surrender through boredom. Eighth"

Spurs: "The Glory Years return. Well, sort of, ish. Sixth"

Let me just say that this is all their words, not mine.

Anyway, I am so glad that the newspapers have finally realised that Everton are going down. :grinning:

That is such a realistic prediction for neverton, methinks

I don't think they've got it right about the top 4 though

can i have people's views and any requests for any other information?

I dont believe that ManCity can finish the league fifth! First 10 would be a success for blue manchesters.

Bolton and Newcastle will be upper than 10th line.

Tottenham seem as the big surprise of this season, with Davids!

Liverpool id say win it bringing zenden for lw and cisse morienyes can have a early forward partnership playing in competitive championsleague matches

chelsea 2nd good strong team dont think theyll play as good as last year despite signing wright philips and calling crespo back for from ac

man utd 3rd pak ji sung looks good from psv also rooney looks promising and also a 3-0 win in the week

bolton 4th strong team el hadji dioufg signing for bolton
and signing Borgetti

arsenal 5th loss of viera could cause fatal and v persie incident could be distracting for the player

thats my top 5

Bolton 4th? ???

Our goal is the Premiership trophy, but chelsea looks tough.

I would say:

1. Chelsea
2. Liverpool
3. Arsenal (they'll play well; they do have henry who can be an inspirational captain.)
4. Manchester United
5. Tottenham

what about neverton?

As for the Bitters.....

19th!!
You'll Never Walk Alone

RIP Phil
