God only help his 2 kids left behind. As a father of two - just spoke to them on Skype this morning - it must be incredibly hard for them....RIP indeed, poor lad.

shocking news and very sad.

due to the job i do its always sad when this happends,It gets to a point when they have no one to talk to about how they feel.

we are always told to ask "would you like to die for or forever" (if all your problems could be solved would you still like to live).

RIP

so sad.

maybe this will open up a debate into depression, because on the face of it Gary Speed had everything. But no one knows what goes on behind closed doors and maybe he battled with the illness for years.

Just a guess...no doubt the story will come out as the tabloids drag it all out in some tastless manner.

I had a good mate commit suicide, he also left kids behind. Even to this day I feel angry at a wholly selfish decision he made. His kids grew up thinking it was their fault as well as growing up without a dad.

Sure Gary Speeds death is a sad loss but his actions are also extremely selfish. Depression or not, no kids deserves to be experience that.

I can understand what you are saying and yes it is  selfish . his children must be in bits and my heart goes out to them . and yet noone knows why he done it , he must of been in a very dark dark place to do what he did knowing the suffering his wife ,children an family was gonna go though , he really must of been stuggling . just terrible tragic news
