i dont know if this has been seen, we all know everton will have a new ground in kirkby, but did we all know they would also have a tesco supermarket

Everton club bosses have handed over their plans for a new stadium in Kirkby to council chiefs.

The new stadium, which would also include a large Tesco superstore, would be based off Cherryfield Drive.

Eddie Connor, Knowsley Council's cabinet member for leisure, community and culture, said: "The proposals are still only a very early outline of what the development could involve.

"There is a lot of work to be done before any initial ideas are formed into something more definite, and we will be asking residents to help us shape the plan in order to give them something that will bring real and long term benefits to their town."

He added: "We are still unable to go into any detail on the layout of the development, because we simply have not got to that stage yet."

Early indications suggest that the proposed development would create around 2,000 jobs in the town - 1,750 of them permanent boosting Kirkby's economy by up to £21.5m per year.

i suppose we have to be careful now just in case our new ground is sponsored by dunkin donuts or something else ludicrous.

or southwestern bell sponsor one of the ends behind the goal and we all have to sit in the 'bell end'

I see they've applied for the intertoto cup

Hope they get in it, just so they can get humiliated by some team from the Vatican or somewhere.
