City went into the game as favourites but they didn’t turn up, Chelsea did.
In fact the margin of victory should really have been wider, Werner is good at playing on the shoulder of the last man and running in behind but his finishing is terrible.

Yeah they should have put it to bed a lot sooner. Tuchel was spot on with the tactics though.

Gotta feel for the sheiks....It must really hurt to get so close to winning a trophy you’ve been trying to buy for over a decade... :D

I agree, the lesser of two evils.

City will no doubt double down and spend big this summer. Very frustrating that when we played Real we were playing badly and that could have been us, had we played like we did after we got knocked out of the CL we could have made the final, we blipped at the wrong time.

The lesser of two evils, no doubt about it.

I love the fact the CL defeat will have spoilt their season  :D

Oh well I guess their plastic entitled fans will go back to calling it the Chumps League !!

It was only when Chelsea scored that I realised just how much I hated these feckers and how much I wanted them to lose. GREAT NIGHT !! Just a shame it was the chavs that won it !!

Yeah last night definitely had a bitter-sweet feel to it, whilst it was great seeing City fail to get their hands on (as Franky000 succinctly put it) a trophy they have spent the past decade trying to buy it’s an effing pity it had to be another financially doped outfit who did win it.
The only consolation, and admittedly it’s only a slight one, is that Chelsea aren’t quite as in-your-face and arrogant as they were when the likes of Mourinho and John Terry et al were there.
Big money is relentless though, both clubs will no doubt be fighting it out for the signature’s of the likes of Harland and Kane over the summer and come semi-final and final time next year they will probably be there or thereabouts again especially given the sh1t the likes of Real, Barca, Juventus etc are in financially.
Hopefully we can pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat transfer wise ourselves but it is difficult to compete year after year after year with teams shopping at Harrods.

Totally agree Yakka the team and manager actually come across ok. Just a pity that the fans are a brainless collection of Neanderthal’s !!

Chelsea looked good yesterday at certain periods, some of their quick attack and passes reminded me of us, when we were in flow.

Btw I'm glad we didn't get Timo, the lad can't score to save his life.

City were poor and need re-adjustments. Next season will be interesting, whoever gets Kane or Haaland will have an edge.

I'm glad that an abomination like City is yet to win a title in Europe, even though their failure came at the expense of another, slightly smaller abomination getting the title. Still, like others have said, the lesser evil won.
