City and Liverpool apear to be going in different directions..... Ahhh Well :p

Either that or stay at a club with no CL football, half the pay and David N'Gog as a strike partner.

Decisions, Decisions  :rasp

Yeah, you were "just saying"   I'm just saying you're a k'unt then. Don't be so oversensitive.

Then he wouldn't have bought over 200 acres of Eastlands surrounding area. I've seen the plans for their LONG TERM project. It's truely mind blowing

All i said was were we are interested in signing Torres. Don't be so oversensative. People shouldn't say things on line they wouldn't say to a persons face (K'UNT etc).

Its the smug way you are coming accross.
I am sure we would be happy if we had a limitless amount of money but i am also sure that we wouldnt be so smug.

but I doubt you go around being so arrogant to Liverpool fans about signing Torres to thier faces do you? Being excited about the clubs long term plans and splashing money left right and centre on players and wages are two completely different issues mate. When you're owner gets bored, the wages will cripple your club. IMO you's will never get close to the size of ourselves, Man U or Arsenal. If we had a sugar daddy I honestly dont believe we'd have to shell out at the rate you lot or Chelsea did. Players would genuinely want to come to LFC to play for a WORLD famous club. People mistake your lot for a team that wears red

We are a much bigger side than you lot, if you do win loads of titles you's will get all the plastic fan w@nkers claiming to have supported your lot for ages, enjoy that btw, Chelsea can generate a crackin atmoshpere these days  :help

In all fairness mate. Your wrong. If City go on to dominate football in the way our owner plans, Say a bunch of prem titles on the bounce and a CL trophy. then peolple will see us as the biggest club in the world. you can argue the moral issues of this but the fact is most people are morons who worship the hot new thing. I however have been a City fan for 30 years so have well earned any good times to come. (If indeed they do come).

Look at Chelsea. They were not really much before Abramovich. Now people world wide taik about them alongside the likes of Milan, Madrid, Liverpool, Barca, man U etc. It won't take long at all to get that sort of a tag if you are consistantly succesfull. We have a heck of a way to go before that. But it's what our owner is looking for. He also understands how important Global marketing is. That's why he got Garry (the necessary snake) cook on board.

Believe what you will about the long term ambitions of our owners. We are kept in the loop of his plans. Not something rival fans bother checking up on. Look on Bluemoon forum to see for yourselves. Smarter folk than me could tell you more about it.

As for not being arrogant about Torres to Pool fans. Again 'Arrogant' Not sure how i have been labled so? I simpley said i'd like to see it happen. I discuss it on Bluemoon so why not here. I knew you wouldn't be mad about the idea but i just wanted to see your lots thoughts on the possibility of a move.

Anyway yes. There is a Pool fan at the end of our street. He gets it big time about how poor a season you have had and the possibility of signing Torres. Believe me he gives as good as he gets. I've had plenty about the shiteness of City down the years. It's just banter but as always ther are those on every forum who respond to rival fans with a mixture of inteligent thought provoking responses and the fools who come back with 'K'UNT. (not labling you as either).

Lot of ifs and bust there

just as liely you lose all the money, go bankrupt etc

anythng can happen in football. And Torres is a very patriotic player, he is loyal, he'll stay with us for another season then if we are still in the deep end he'll go to spain

As Ben said, its the way you come across. I dont bother with City because they dont bother us. In fact we have something in common

I work with a City fan, he's supported them for years, nice chap, loves his club. Laughs at some of the rumours that go round and stuff like that

For example the Kaka talk, what a load of sh!te that was, and the Messi stuff, absolutely ludacris, you have to laugh at it

As far as Chelsea being right up there, I dont put them on the same level as us, Man U and Arsenal. Dont know why, I just dont look at them in that sort of light. They appeared out of nowhere with no history whatsoever, their whole stature just seems tainted, fake and plastic

Oh and the Tevez stuff - you think he WANTED to be at City - and before you answer think about the transfer fee his agent received and the amount he's earning there. I believe that if Man U offered him anything he'd have snapped thier hands off and stayed

Course they want Torres but I doubt very much he will sign for them no matter what money they offer. They tried it with Berbatov but it didnt come off. Good luck to City, they got a break with the ownership and deserve it after many years of loyal support through difficult times. The bid will come in, and no doubt there will be other suitors as well but I think Torres will be turning out for Liverpool next season despite all the predictable speculation.

And of them he wouldnt sign for

Real Madrid
Chelsea

Which leaves

Barcelona - who just signed Ibra, so I dont think they would be interested (they werent interested in signing David Villa)

Inter Milan - Dont think he would go to Italy

Bayern Munich - Dont think he would go to Germany

Which leaves Man City as the only team in my eyes that he MIGHT sign for

Actually wasn't he quoted as saying he wants to experience playing in Italy and Germany at some point in his career?

He could go to any of those teams but not all can afford him. The only team that could is maybe Barca if they done a player + cash swap. City and Chelsea are the only real teams over here that can afford him but I don't think he would go to another English team.

If it did ever happen and I hope to god it never does id settle for 45Mil + Bojan/Ibra. The good thing is he just signed a new contract last year so any sale will be for as much as we can get.

Like I said I hope it doesn't happen. It's all in the banks hands now and whether we get the investment/new owners we need.

Look, I'll put it bluntly: City are f*cking w@nk, small time wannabe's that needed a billionaire to get them places, and who's to say you even will? Spunk all the money you like on greedy, merc b"stards. You can sometimes buy silverware, but you can never buy history or class. Oh, and Torres is a Liverpool FC player and will be for the foreseeable future, so w@nk on.
