 Feck off LFC you love this nonsense  :D .

About a page or two ago someone posted up the breakdown of the transfer payments (and no I haven't physically seen the contract). If you scroll back you'll see it.

Broadly speaking, we paid 5 mill up top, 3 mill I think on Dec 30th, and 7 mill on June 30th. That makes 15 mill by the Summer. Next year we have to pay another 5 million. The additions are small, but are IN ADDITION to the 20 million Euro fee. Anyways Bav, scroll back and read it (that is if you're not winding me up, if you are, you can feck off as well    :D  :D )

Im not going to sift through these pages just to dig out the breakup, I can't be arsed. :D Mick i'm not winding you up mate, the only reason I brought that up was that I distinctly remember that contractual point being brought up when he signed for us. I can't remember how much of the overall figure it represents but it's in there, im sure of it. If anyone is feeling bored please find it, if not we can all agree Mick is wrong. :D

Here you are Mick :-

The 20 million EURO transfer fee is broken up into the following:

- 4 cash instalments of
- - 5 million EURO upfront
- - 3 million EURO by 4th January 2010
- - 7 million EURO by June 30th 2010
- - 5 million EURO by June 30th 2011.

Further Add ons include:

- 300,000 EURO for every year Liverpool qualify for the Champions League from 2010/11 to 2014/15

- 250,000 EURO everytime the player reaches 35 appearancs, 70 appearances, 105 appeances and then 140 appearances.

- 1 million EURO the first time Liverpool either wins the Premier League or Champions League by 30 June 2014.

- 5% of any future transfer fee will be paid to Roma.

So the reason Rafa has made sure we failed to win both the CL and the title was to avoid paying the extras  :D

Thanks Saint. Ok so well at least we have probably saved ourselves 300k. :p

Really though what a stupid deal that is. 1 Million Euros for when we win the league or CL? We could have gotten Steven Defour or Javi Martinez or someone for a lot less.

We only have Rafas word for this "permanantly injured" shoite
If he wasnt injured today why not play him from the start?
Rafa proper sh'its his kecks when he comes up against a "physical" side
Makes you wonder what attracted him to the Prem in the first place seeing as theres about five footbaling sides in the whole division?

I have just watched the highlights, missed the game earlier as just as the game was about to kick thats when company decides to turn up !

Just watched Torres sat there with ice in his sock. So what was the point of that? Rafa said he wasnt injured just tired. So whats with the ice? or is Torres also a pansy? Rafa has a go at Aquilani then takes off Torres and packs him with ice !

Im baffled... ???

Was class today.

Why he was subbed? god knows...

If Rafa actually plays this guy next season and if he avoids injury, hes gonna be massive.

Don't know i felt Aqua disappointed Today ,should have been his game for the taking ,playing a team which was seating back and playing the not too aggresive type of game which might pressure aqua.

He seemed on trying doing tricks and fancy foot work instead of being practical and effective ,i mean going for deep clever passes or focusing on placing the ball inside the net.

He is trying ,but his attitude is still not tweaked ,at this stage our team is crying for a world class passer and other then Yossi no one in the team is passing the ball deep and effective ,Aqua must rise to this challange but not with back foot kicks - disappointing game for me.

I thought he was just decent. A few impressive moments such as the ball over the top for Ngog, the overhead kick, and the odd bit of link up with Gerrard but overall I thought he needed to do more. Needed to make the pass out wide quicker and more incisive than he did. There were a couple of occasions at least when Johnson was available and instead of going direct - meat and drink for Alonso, incidentally - he passed it to Maxi and the best opportunity of making ground down the right was lost because it alloed them time to get players over to suffocate our play. At other times he needed to join the play, to be the third link man, when Ngog and Gerrard were trying to fashion something among five or so Fulham players. He had a few shots, one decent one, two blocked and a header over the bar, IIRC. It wasn't easy for him or the team given how well-organised Fulham were (and they really were) but if we're to maintain some sense of the standards we ought to aspire to then I think it's fair to say there was obvious room for improvement. Not enough ooooomph, basically. :D

Quite agree with your assessment LFC. But it is promising nevertheless. The criticims you mentioned are mainly due to him being short of match fitness.

The team looks by far stronger in possession when he plays instead of Lucas and that is most important part.

He plays better when have more room and less pressure from the opponents but in all of the game so far, i can see he really struggles when opponents applying tight pressure on him. He usually falls down and maybe due to lack of strength or quickness. He still doesn't convince me. I think he will never be as dominant as Alonso. I believe he will be just an average squad player and nothing special. I just don't see he has what it take to be considered a game breaker. He still have a lot of flaws in his game. If he was bought for 6 million or so, i think that would be more of a true reflection of his value and I'm sure people will complain less about him. If we can stand for Lucas at 6million, I'm sure we can do the same for Aquaman. The fact that he costed 20 million just doesn't justify by his showing so far and that's why most think he is a flop. No one likes to get reaped off especially the fans.

I do not think he will be here next season, i think he may be too lightweight for our league and is better suited to italian football.
