As sub title, a lot of you have said he wouldnt cut etc blah, blah blah.

I wonder if any of you will change you're minds now that Arsene W*anker will be chasing him. I still think we should chase the lad.

What do you all think?

I think that is a decision made with his heart and not his head.

Well if Man City don't do good this season I can see Wright-Phillips wearing our Red colours

I still thinks he is too small. Once people know his tricks and how to defend him, bit of a one trick pony for me.

Nope. Never has shown anything to suggest he's more than a "good" player. Not class by any stretch of the imagination.

Riise marked him out of the game at anfield.

I always said that I thought we should go after him, and I stand by that. He's playing in a very average team, but he looks to me like a player that would come on in leaps and bounds if he moved to one of the big 4.

Ditto Vassell, incidentally.

Decent young player but not my first choice. Maybe he will prove people wrong including myself.

Never really looked like having the potential to be a very good player.  He's a good player in an average team and that makes him stand out more.  But not class by a long shot.

Good skills but doesn't seem strong enough at the moment. If he can get stronger then I think he stands a chance. Reminds me of a wasp at the moment flitting around the pitch.

I'd definitely have him, but his price will have gone up with his new deal. Man City will probably try and induce a bidding war to up his price further.

I'd love to see his creativity in right midfield, he would be a vast improvement on Steve Finnan as a midfielder.

Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso, Josemi.     As long as Benitez is buying the players I have no worries

Wright-Phillips can solve our right wing problem. He has been played well last season & has started this one well too.  He won't be cheap though now arsenal is intrested in him.
