You obviously never saw Peter Wall, Reg. When they used to announce his name over the tannoy it was usually greeted with crys and laments of "oh FFS not him again".

I think that TV commentators and the internet have made us much more critical about players /managers and the team in general, but there has always been players that were singled out for "special treatment".

Hell of strike from the lad tonight and he looked like a first team player next to some of our younger lads out there. Nice game.

We have to make sure we hang onto this kid tightly. Especially if he goes to the world cup his value may rise significantly.

Anyone know what his current contract status is? Is how many years does he have left? I hope he is given a proper senior contract in the summer, especially if we manage to offload dossena.

I think it just depends which side you are on.

Imagine how Paul Tomkins feels, he has his opinions, and he cops a lot of stick for putting them out there. Still he writes >1 bloody long essay every week about Liverpool defending every little piece of anti-Liverpool sentiment out there.
