Worth checking out mate. Probably one of the better Iraq war films (most recent war not previous)

There is also the Green Zone coming out soon with Matt Damon.

The Wolfman

Very disappointed with this. Even though it was kept as close to the original as possible with the creature design, I just feel it was the wrong direction to take. Nevermind how shallow the story and plot is, the whole thing should have really been brought up to date and would have been better off in a modern setting, like a new American Werewolf In London. It wasn't scary and it wasn't clever. DelToro was wasted in this. Shame.

got Bodyguards and Assassins to watch tomorrow, anyone seen it yet.

Yeah I started watching that, but the copy I had was pretty shoddy. I saw the begining when the old bloke is tatooing that gang member, then the Ninja comes in and slices everyone up.

Must get round to watching that someday.

The action sequences were pretty good but overall the film had a "cheap" feel about it. Worth watching but I couldn't help thinking "what a movie this could've been"

Finally got round to see French WW2 flick Female agents with Sophie Marceau

While uneven in parts and as per normal with these sort of movies you have to suspend some disbelief as events suchas amatuer resistance fighter outshoots a squad of professional soldiers of the Wehrmacht take place.
Nevertheless has enjoyable standard and style with a good measure of gritty reality and well worth a look for those who enjoy WW2 movies

The last film I saw was 'The Man From Earth'. Quite interesting in spite of having no special effects and only two or three different sets. It about the possibility of a man living 14000 years.

just seen let the right one in - a swedish vampire film from a couple of years ago. well, a vampire film framed by the awkward relationship between two 12 year olds. when the blood and guts comes it really gets stuck in, but its never dwelt on and always filmed beautifully. in fact the whole film is one of the best shot films i've seen for a long time. the narrative and the times when there is no narrative is perfect as well.

if you like nonstop gore fests you'll probably hate it, but if you like fantastically shot and original takes on a classic idea you'll probably love it.

 , I meant to DL that some time ago and completely forgot.
Thanks for the reminder Andy will be getting it today.

Watched John Travolta's "From Paris with Love" . Very much comic book CIA v terrorists. Loads of well choroegraphed action but b'ugger all plot. I'm hoping the script was written with tongue planted firmly in cheek as there's no way it could be taken seriously.
Entertaining but laughable.
