Just over a year ago he was linked with Merseyside rivals Everton, as well as Aston Villa, but rejected a move to Goodison Park out of hand.

Why is this still in rumors if it's a done deal? We need some actual proof here not some shoddy youtube vids......

with that said though, that's as far as i'm criticizing the guy. ALTHOUGH its the JUPILER LEAGUE

, from this link here i can see that he does seem to be one of those guys who always seem to be at the 'right place at the right time'. his positioning and timing seem to be great, but his finishing leaves me a little undecided. but he does seem to be a good penalty kick taker.

he's a left footer yeah but from what i've seen in this video he's no john arne riise.

i wouldn't expect rockets from nowhere being launched by this guy. and it remains to be seen if he can cope with the defenders in this league - beat them on the run, fight them off and finish coolly.

anyways, it was rafa's decision to buy him. so like most fans on here, i will give him the benefit of the doubt, rather than sit on the fence - and wish US the best of luck

that he scores goals while he's here.

His goal scoring stats over the last couple of seasons look to be pretty impressive. Althoe as already stated he's not coming from the most competive league in the world.

There ya go mate, decided to compare him to Torres for ya.

surprisingly better in a few areas, same pace, better acceleration AND a better penalty taker.. got ourselves a right bargain there on a free!

Cheers mate. Yeah his dribbling isn't bad either.

Anyway I hope he does better for us than the last freebie striker we took done.
