I see skysports.com are saying that agreement on fee 35,000,000 is close and that we are checking out Cambiasso of inter. Whats he like, don't watch much italian games anymore.

I am feeling the same. Personally, I treasure the players that commit their heart and souls to the team, and not just their open hands for bigger cheques. Torres recent declaration to Liverpool is what it should be about - the honour. Xabi's silence frustrates me, if he had his heart set on the club he would have spoken up, but sitting back in silence indicates some hesitation and I feel we have no room for that in our club.

who said so ? if i remember correctly there was a quote from Xabi some time ago where he said he wouldnt mind staying in England... many didnt know whether he meant stay with us or move to another English club... anyways... if he desperately wants to leave because he cant work with Rafa then i guess he'd rather move to City than stay here....

If Xabi wants to go then he can f.uck off as far as I'm concerned, same goes for Mascherano. Don't get me wrong, I love them both, and rate them extremely highly and before all the speculation the idea of losing them both would have been disastrous. But if they don't want to be here then they can p.iss off, simple.

The reports suggest the club is looking for around £35 mil at the moment, whereas a season earlier it was around the £15-18 mil mark.
He wants out, he'll be a year older (28 in Nov) and chances are we won't get £35 mil for him if his heart and mind are elsewhere and has a poor season.

I don't care one iota if xabi wants to leave or stay. that shouldn't matter. the only thing that matters is our valuation of the player and the amount of money in the bids we recieve for him
