Well some lad on Rawk posted this

Just so people know, all this talk of Visa problems is :censored: and it's just being peddelled by his agent as a reason to move.

Mascherno has got an italian passport, even though he is Argentinean. As he is an EU national working in the UK (Exercising his rights to work in the UK under the treaty of Rome), his non European dependants (Wife and daughters) can apply for a Residence permit, which is valid for 5 years from date of issue, after which they can apply for permanent residence. The Residence permit is valid, unless they spend more than 2 years outside of the UK. so basically, she can travel to and from the UK, without any problems. she doens't need a Visa any more.

Mrs Mascherano has already applied for and been given a permit, as has his first daughter. Any more children and they have to be added to the permit via an application to the Home Office on a paper form, Hardly an odyssey?

Before anyone asks, I'm not going to say how I know this.

These comments are very worrying from, the agent, he's looking for excuses to force through a move. Also, Mrs Mascherano would be in exactly the same position if she moved to Spain, she would have to apply for a Spanish resident permit.

But do we really want to force 2 players to play for us when they don't want to? If we are to win the league we need everyone up for it.

ahaaaaaaaaaaaaa

whatever im not a big Mascherano fan anyways i say sell him for 25mill if he wants to go so badly and bring in someone who can actually pass a ball instead... Again, if his wife isnt settled/ wants to move elsewhere, then i guess theres no point in forcing him to stay... we dont know if he -like Alonso- would manage to produce to the best of his ability if hes not settled with the club..

Problem is who the feck do we replace them both with who would be as good? Don't think it's going to be possible, plus the new guys would need time to bed in so probably forget any hope of the league if we lose them both

So if the figures are to be believed Rafa was given 20 million to play with this summer, we bought Glen Johnston for 17, of which we will only pay 10 as we were still owed 7 from the Crouch transfer. So disregarding any minor transfers in and out that leaves us with a net figure of 10 million still left to spend.

Now if the rumours come true we could lose Alonso for 25-30 million and Macherano for 25-30. These figures are of course dependant on player exchanges and payment structure.

Now the question I would like to ask is if these transfers are forced through as seems to be the case, would you like straight money or part player exchange and how would you use the net transfer fund after the transfers to be spent.

Personally this would how I would like to see it go, With the Alonso sale I would that 15 million and Sneider and with Macherano I would take the straight money, I know Bojan has been mentioned but I don’t think he would hack it in the premiership.

So that would leave us with a net transfer budget of 50-55 million to spend, Sneider would be a straight swap with Alonso I the team, I would bring Gerard back to central midfield and use the money to fund a 20-25 million bid of Silva, leaving us with 30-35 million to spend on a player to play off Torres. Ideally this would be Aguero.

when did masher loose the ability to pass the ball ? watched him pass the ball to one of our players plenty of times so think its rather false statement saying he cant pass the ball

How do you know this mate? Is it because of the fella's post on Rawk? If it is, you can't really have it both ways to be totally fair. You've spent the whole of the Alonso saga pouring scorn on any rumours which don't fit in with your agenda, so you can hardly grab this unsubstantiated insight from the fella on Rawk and speak of it as though it's gospel.

As it turns out, the fella on Rawk sounds totally believeable to me, it all makes sense I reckon. On the other hand though, I believe the rumours that Alonso is seriously considering fecking off as well.

As you have stated mate its all been explained about the visa better by that lad from RAWK hence why i think its the agent sh.it stirring .

What agenda do i have mick ? if i believed every rumour and every journo was right so far we would of had etoo, silva, parker plus many many others and we wouldnt have xabi and masher in our team but yet there they are with the squad masher already played a part in one game and i reckon xabi will play a bit later .

Madrdi want Xabi - Rafa says pay top dollar or he stays - Rafa has stated he doesnt want to sell hence why putting a high price on him .

simples.

But you understand my point? You can't realitically dismiss all rumours which have come out about Alonso on the grounds that there's "no quotes from the player or manager" and then grab this particular rumour (which is purely an unproven stab on a rival site) and treat is as gospel simply because it fits in with your stance. We either give credibility to some rumours or we don't.

Just to reiterate, I think the lad is probably on the money as well, but I have been known to believe the odd rumour  :) .

I can dismiss any rumour i feel mick as i have seen 99.99% of them to turn out to be utter b.o.llocks mick so will believe actual things as opposed to press rumours mick .
