Are you spanish?

I live in Madrid, but my favourite spanish team is Real Zaragoza, bad times...  :(

First, let me welcome aboard our newest members from Spain.  As you're new, you may not be aware of general Newkit etiquette, which insists that most posts be done in English.  Fear not, however, for there is a specific thread set aside to converse in Spanish with other Liverpool supporters.  That thread can be found HERE.  So, feel free to chat en espanyol all you like in there but keep threads like this one in English, okay? Cheers. :)

I'm not sure even Kenny quite reached that level (though I know mnay will disagree). The wierd thing is with Gerrard, I can't help thinking that there is another level yet still to come once he realises that he is/can be/will be the best player in the World.

I don´t know if Gerrard is the best player in the world (probably Messi is the closest to Maradona), but doubtlessly he is the most complete player I ever seen in my life. He can defend on the right wing and fullback, excellent tackle, good distribution and crosses, good header, shot, ect

What he said. Messi's skill is the best, but who is the most useful player? Hard to tell.

I have doubts to give Gerrard the best of the world award, but top 3? for sure!!

Now I hope we win the league. For Liverpool, and for Gerrard. If he's league champion, perhaps the England national team will realise they have to contruct a team around Gerrard, not around Lampard. The day they do that, the day England will be again one of the best European squads and will appear in semifinals of great competitions.

If it is true that Gerrard will always be among the top 5, like Lampard. But now there are players in better shape as Robben ...

I will see the duster, eh?

The only way Lampard would be in the top 5 players is if we were onabout 5-a-side mate.

He's gash. Pure and utter tripe.

I hope he's not done his metatarsal again - saw him coming out wearing one of those moon boots in the second half.  Probably just a precaution until they get it x-rayed, but does make you worry - especially since he's broken it before.

I have two worries, one, I'm praying that it's not the metatarsal as you say. Two, Alonso needs continuity in his game: Alonso uses to be one of the slowest to get full form after summer, and he's slow to get that form after injuries aswell. And Liverpool needs everyone in top form right now.

I put it in the match thread Sabes but ill put it in here also

Alonso failed to reappear for the second half after colliding with a Preston defender, and assistant boss Sammy Lee insists the club won't know the extent of any damage for at least 24 hours.

"Unfortunately Xabi has had seven stitches in his instep," said Sammy after the game.

"We do not know the full extent of the injury, apart from the fact he will be very sore tonight.

"Hopefully there will be no damage but we won't know for the next 24 or 48 hours."

Lucas will deputise in a similar role... and Alonso won't be out for long, I can tell these things. This is the reason we need to rotate sometimes, to make sure others can take if needed.
