Yes, but which has the better return- players or bye bye Rafa? Long term bye bye Rafa I say!

...and what does the next manager do with the same team but 25 million less?

yes unfortunately that is the catch 22 situation we are in. What or rather who of value is available and could possibly turn things around for us? Not many I suggest, a clean sweep and at least a new man in charge may invigorate the team, give lads like Pacheco a real chance.

I'd take that in a flash but Rafa won't

I think he made a promise of top 4, that's good enough for most fans.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Guessed this poll would be a close one, those with little faith in the manager and his transfer activities are bound to feel that we'll end up throwing at least £25m away before Rafa goes anyway so why not cut to the chase and make it seem like an investment.

It is quite possible that keeping Rafa on could result in the departure of Torres, Mascherano, Reina and Gerrard, if things don't turn around fast then how they view their situations might just. That in itself might not be the end of the world, but I think there's as much chance they'll feck off with Rafa still here as there is they'll feck off if he's sacked

Why would Benitez do something so dumb when he has 4 years left of a five year contract to run? Am I missing something? It would have been a very good idea if a clause of that nature had been put in the contract last year considering there were serious question marks about the ability of Benitez at that time given that he was on target to win nothing for the third consecutive year. Yes I know he could have won the league but it was very obvious that he couldn't handle the pressure as demonstrated in his idiotic rant about Ferguson. With several draws against low quality opposition and many tactical errors Benitez managed to throw away any chance we had of winning the PL.

I would sack him now. I am totally convinced that another manager could get a lot more out of the existing players that could be worth more than £25m in Benitez's useless transfer hands. If necessary ask Kenny to stand in until the end of the season - I think he would do it!

Hello......  http://www.transferleague.co.uk/index.php

The club doesn't need investment it needs a manager that is capable of performing at all levels and that includes the transfer market. Of course the players are going to demand that investment is the problem rather than in the case of players like Babel their own ineptitude!

rafa has had more investment that a hell of alot of managers and we stil dont hav a strong squad, i say sack him hes lost us more money by being put out of tournaments than itl cost to pay him off, its a good business move to get rid of him and the staff.
i like the man but wen u play bad u cant sack the whole squad u can only sack ur manager.

Are you some sort of spastic? He said he likes the man, as in Benitez, not me. You might want to back away from that screen there just in case that c*ck on your forehead goes through it.
