Schmeichel could well be the greatest keeper this countrys seen, certainly in the last ten years. Thing is, I never rated Clemence as the best in England at his time, always said the defence helped him out a lot. We got Carragher and maybe Finnan, but there aint too many coverin themselves with glory at the minute are there? Sami needs someone with him, desperately. He's still got class, no doubt about that, but I dont see him bein our main 'Rock' for two more seasons. Left backs an issue....Riise or Djimi? I prefer Riise, but he went off the boil under GH and has only just kinda found his way back...Djimi....? I dunno, always said I wouldnt pay him in sawdust, but he has improved this season. Shanks always said "build from the back", stop lettin in goals, its easier to get points that way, and if we sort out the defence we got two good keepers with no need to spend in that position.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

Praise Benitiez for the Eurpoean exploits of last week, by all means. Do not though, hold him responsible for the distinct lack of squad depth, currently preventing him from competing on all fronts. The strength in depth of the Liverpool squad, or lack of it, is not his doing, and not his fault. It also has no bearing on his tactial ability.
