Haven't had a chance to read all the threads, too many, but if this has already been posted by someone else apologies.

When Gilette and Hicks took over at Liverpool I was gutted, the thought of my beloved Liverpool being run by 2 yanks sickened me I genuinley felt sorry for David Moores as he had always put the club first, or as I saw it he did. I couldn't understand why the accepted the yanks bid as I was reading about a local businessman who was a Liverpool fan wante=ing to take over. But when they took over I read they stated that they would fund a new stadium. would not put the clun further in debt and would provide funds for Rafa to build a  Championship winning side. I slowly become more optimistic and although Iwas never that keen on the thought of Liverpool moving to a new stadium after seeing the plans slowly warmed to the idea. I know we need to increase capacity to help us compete with  man usa, chelski & arsenal.
Season on if what I have read is correct none of the has been done they have had to refinance the the club putting the club further into debt, the stadium is again on hold and although funds are there for the buying of player I'm not convinced that Rafa has what he needs. Surley they have breached the terms of the contract and and as such the contract is worthless. I know that there is probably alot more to this than my view of it but I hope now the saudis do come in although in my heart I would love a British Consortium would come in and save the club.
Any support I can give to getting the club back to where it should be is there .

I received the renewal letter Igor, I'm member 1499, almost 1500 :D

I'll renew because I receive first hand info about the Anfield Crowd and because I think what they do is right.

No to a Ground Share!
Fri 27 Nov 2009

Following on from the recent announcement of Everton FC's planned move to Kirkby being rejected, the inevitable talk of a proposed ground share between the two clubs has re-surfaced. We would like to take this opportunity to again make clear our stance on such an issue. At a Spirit Of Shankly EGM in September 2008, Union members voted unanimously against the idea of sharing a stadium with Everton FC. This stance remains unchanged, despite the best efforts of those in the media and in positions of influence trying to encourage it. Listen to what the fans are saying - No ground share!

To promote the SoS, how about an update to what they have actually achieved Igor? Stickied as this thread is, its for a good cause. A christmas message perhaps, a justification of this union to show that its working. Not all of us are kept in the know, how is it progressing?

In Spain we are copying the SOS model.

Because it's an useful model. I'll put an example. In the eighties clubs in Spain were clubs, in which the partners of the club (us), took the relevant decissions. When all the clubs except Barcelona, Osasuna, Real Madrid and Bilbao, had to convert to enterprises with stocks, the fans lost that power.

What they have accomplished? bring back the voice of the fans.

How? For instance not that long ago they met Purslow, and they told him their concerns.

So you could say that they have failed to put the yanks out of the club, but achieving somebody busy like Purslow agreeing to meet them, is to recover some of the power the fans used to have in football clubs.

Not bad for a so young association if you ask me, and that's just one example.

While I don't consider myself a Liverpool supporter because I don't go to the games in the stadium, I happily pay the fee to be SOS partner because I get first hand info of the club, and because I fully support the importance they are requesting for the supporter. That's the football I believe in.

As we enter another transfer window, fans are left wondering what is going on inside the club, and second guessing who we will (or more likely won't) be buying.

Spirit Of Shankly is expecting very little to happen - http://www.spiritofshankly.com/news....3;.html

Let's see if Tom and George prove us wrong!

After yesterday's behaviour by Tom Hicks Jr, we are calling for his resignation.
