Boredom induces randomness.

Anyway i hope we can see this guy play soon, however i think it will have a good effect on us. I can only see Lucas get better and build more confidence. Say Aquilani is subbed first game later October and then starts to settle i think he could add some creativity and sparkle to the team from his first game and it can only help build confidence. Hopefully Aquilani shuts up the twits and scores some good goals and plays some brilliant football. Then we come January hopefully we spend some money while selling players liek Degen , Dossena, Voronin etc and bring in some players like Carlton Cole for the english quota and some back up for some area's. Then we shall rise up ready to battle for the trophy onwards and ignite some flair. :D

Unlike Alonso, i expect him to be more dynamic, mobile and versatile, being interchangeable with our front players when/if appropriate (more-so with Gerrard than the others) and will also provide a goal threat in the form of an on-running midfielder into the box or from shooting at range.

What i would hope he would offer is not only the technique but the intelligence to run our midfield and have the passing to comfortably supply our front four with ammunition. Whether he is up to being the fulcrum of one of Europe's best sides in one of Europe's best leagues remains to be seen. I would also hope that he can stay fit and adapt to the game over here; hopefully even thriving.

Liverpool's Alberto Aquilani aims for debut next month
Liverpool are targeting their trip to Sunderland on Oct 17 as the game in which £20 million midfielder Alberto Aquilani will make his long-awaited debut.

Published: 7:00AM BST 25 Sep 2009

Aquilani is likely to step up his training when his team-mates depart for international duty after Liverpool's visit to Chelsea and should be in contention for a place on the substitutes' bench when Rafael Benítez takes his team to the Stadium of Light two weeks later.

Sources insist the player is confident he will make a full recovery, thanks to the efforts of Liverpool's medical staff, and he is described as being "very happy" at his new club.

Under the draconian training regime of deposed manager Luciano Spalletti, Roma lost a succession of players to chronic injuries and Aquilani believes constant changes in his care regimen affected his recuperation.

Hopefully the above is true and we'll see him on the field sometime in the latter part of next month. Am very excited to see what he has got to offer.

On another Aquilani-related note, I really wish people wouldn't call him Aquaman as it sounds a bit, well, lame to be honest (and quite a bit uninventive as well mind) :D

Rafa Benitez is refusing to put a timetable on summer signing Alberto Aquilani being available for selection - though the Italy international is said to be 'doing well' in his rehabilitation from an ankle injury.
Newspaper reports this morning suggested the 25-year-old could make his debut in mid-October.

But Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv: "He's going forward, progressing and he'll soon start running. If that goes okay then everything will go a bit faster.

"We have not set a target or any time, but he's doing well."

Meanwhile, Benitez confirmed both Daniel Agger and Nabil El Zhar were close to first-team returns following respective back and knee problems.

"Both are very close," said the boss. "They're involved in full training sessions but still they'll need match fitness.

"They'll need time to play some games. Now we have some very important games, so we'll see - but both are very close
