I think Birmingham will get at least a point at Hull who I think are in the beginings of freefall, and I fancy us to get home (just) at West Ham. I think Man Utd and Man City will be a score draw, Chelsea will beat Tottenham, Everton will bounce back to get a timely win at Home to Blackburn, and I've a hunch Fulham will win at Wolves, although I wouldn't bet my life on it.

I don't normally like betting on teams who have played away in Europe midweek, particularly if they only have a couple of days to recover, but I'm going to go against one of my theories and go with Arsenal to have too much for Wigan at Home. I think they'll win in Belgium, then win again here.

Well three out of four ain't bad, but I did fancy Sunderland at Burnley so the old football bet would have gone down. Nice to see Bent score again though.

For us it was a "just" but no matter we won and that's an absolutely crucial three points I reckon. As for Arsenal, a comfotable win but Wigan are looking to me a little bit like Hull, one to oppose at the moment.

We move onto next week.

Getting harder to keep track on which teams I have already picked now, I think I will wait a bit this week before posting my choice.

Nah b@lls to waiting a week S@int, this is what I think'll happen next weekend. Birmingham will get their second win in a week by having too much for Bolton at Home, Villa will only manage a draw at Blackburn (scoreless), and Arsenal will roll Fulham over at Craven Cottage comfortably.

We'll beat Hull at Home, while Everton I fancy to only draw at Fratton Park giving Pompey their first point of the season. The Mancs will steamroller Stoke away but I'm going to resist the temptation to put them in (I don't think I've had them yet), Chelsea will win at Wigan putting their young manager one step closer to the exit door, but this week I'm going to oppose Burnley despite their impressive win at the weekend against Sunderland. On the road they aren't anywhere near good enough, and I take Tottenham to spank them about 5-0.

Was a bit lucky and unlucky this week Conn. I went for the high scoring draw (2-2) at Old Trafford and was so close to a 3-3. I said we would 'just" get home, got Chelsea beating Spurs right, Arsenal right, Everton right, Villa right, Birmingham right, Darren Bent right, Fulham wrong and Sunderland wrong. Close but no cigar.

I was always a bit of a football punter when I was in the Uk and I'm thinking when I get back of getting properly into it, not professionally or anything but doing it disciplined and trying to pay for a holiday each year out of it. I'm like that with the poker at the moment, grinding away as much as anything else to prove to myself that I can make a profit out of it on a sustained basis. Having done my b0ll0cks all my life it's nice to kind of turn the corner a bit.

On the football front it's actually a bit of a worry Spurs having no centre halves for the weekend game with Burnley, and I'll have a wee look see if I'm going to change.
