Birmingham defended well and the mancs found them hard to break down.

They may have won but it was by 1-0 and they could have conceded. I can see them having a similiar season to our last and getting lots of draws  :;):

And LOL at owen missing on his debut  :wwww

even though scums don't have stars on the pitch they still tend to grind out results. Typical performance i say!!! Makes no difference if ferdinand is injured they will still get results and thats a fact!

How can Wigan win away at Villa like they did, then lose at home to Wolves? ???

I watched the second half of the Man Utd game as ours is repeated straight after, and they've definately got problems. Without Ronaldo there's a real hole there, and it's no surprise that they've managed to score only one goal in two matches, against Birmingham and Burnley. Rooney's quality sticks out like a sore thumb, but there's precious little inspiration from anywhere else. The feeling persists that they are going to have to find a little bit of magic from somewhere, and if that means putting up with some of the foibles from Nani so be it. Judging by the performance at Burnley though, I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if they go back into the transfer market and spend big before deadline day.

As for Burnley they did well. They're very well organised and the keeper had a stormer. Had a lad up top (Patterson maybe  ??? ) who works his nuts off, and blokes like Robbie Blake who've been around a long time and know a bit. They if they've got any sense will ride the wave as long as they can and rack up a few points early season. It'll be a long year for them, but brilliant performance tonight in any case.
