Most tabloids are owned by the same business groups. I dont usually buy any of the red papers due to this reason. :censored:!

As for rumours I do not have any

Our team needs some attackers badly.

Unless Babel can finally figure out how many feet he's got :(

yea think ur being too kind there fella......cant see what potential people see in babel......

the missing link is in the midfield.....from where mash breaks up the play and gets it to gerrard..... jamie sideways redknapp was right......when masherano gets the ball, his natural game is to look sideways......

I think everyone apart from Rafa can see we need a striker!! I'd give Pacheco and Nemeth a go.

Liverpool must stump up £7m to land Dynamo Kiev's Pape Diakhate

Liverpool have been quoted a price of £7million for Dynamo Kiev central defender Pape Diakhate.

Manager Rafael Benitez is keen to bring in another top stopper after a number of
injury worries and Diakhate caught his eye when he went to watch Senegal play this summer.

European champions Barcelona line up Liverpool's Albert Riera as time runs out on bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas

Barcelona are lining up a bid for Liverpool winger Albert Riera as time runs out to do deals for Arsenal duo Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Eboue.

Nou Camp boss Pep Guardiola conceded at the weekend that a move for Fabregas was unlikely to come off, but the club's deal-maker Txiki Begiristain has not ruled out snaring him before Tuesday night's Battle of Britain Champions League tie between Celtic and the Gunners.

Emirates boss Arsene Wenger insists his captain is not for sale and using him at Parkhead would cup-tie the 22-year-old from playing for anyone else in the Champions League this season and effectively crush a deal. The same goes for Eboue, who is seen by Barca as a candidate to provide defensive cover.

A deal for Fabregas seems almost impossible but technical secretary Begiristain has yet to concede defeat, saying only that a deal was 'very complicated'.

The Spain midfielder's versatility is attractive, but Barca will turn to cheaper options if, as expected, they fail to land him. Liverpool winger Riera has been floated by Begiristain as a left-sided reinforcement following difficulties in landing Juan Mata from Valencia.

Riera, 27, impressed at Anfield after signing from Espanyol for £8million last summer.
Barca have struggled to bring in the right players this summer, including Liverpool's Javier Mascherano, adding just Maxwell and Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Inter Milan.

Begiristain warns the quality of candidates he is looking at means they may ultimately make no more major signings before the close of the transfer window at the start of next month.

'The players we want are not cheap,' said Begiristain. 'We must look at alternatives and see what is better. The squad will be added to only if we value the player.'

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez set to bid for Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta

Rafa Benitez is ready to make a £10m bid for Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta.

The Liverpool boss sent scouts to watch the centre-half play against Espanyol on Sunday and is preparing to table an offer this week.

Benitez is desperate to end his hunt for a commanding defender and has already seen a £6m bid for Hull’s Michael Turner rejected.

Fulham star Brede Hangeland and Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross have also come under consideration but Benitez is now set to firm up his interest in Amorebieta, 24.

Bilbao will ask for at least £10m and Benitez will have to persuade American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett to cough up the cash, with only two weeks left until the transfer window slams shut.

Wesley Snejder to Inter for 20 mil Euros , would have loved to see him in the Liverpool shirt . I think he would have addopted better than Aquilani(although ill be happy if Aquilani demands me )

Tbh Sneijder is pretty overrated.  Why do you think Real want to get rid of him?  When fit Aquillani is better than him in all areas.

So we got another defender. Supposably but we need another attacker and preferably another midfield player! The yanks should cough up 20m! Why he pays 10m for this defender over turner etc baffles me! I really don't know what Rafa is doing but i'll just wait and see if we land him.
