Alonso agrees with what most of us have been saying for some time, whats the problem ? . I like a player that tells it like it is .

Anyway, it sounds and looks better coming from a player who has shown nice touches and his skills in his first game, than a player like Biscan who had never shown hals of the nice touches Alonso showed during his entire career at Liverpool until today!

why is it impossible for a player to tell the inconvenient truth?
It's VERY possible he just said it like that.
Gerrard and Owen once more than just "whispering" but demanding more quality players.

Why is this thread still alive ( I can see the irony in me posting this by the way). The headline on this article is way over the top compared to what Alonso said... the man has played one match and already everyone is on his back..... same as Rafa, some people want him sacked

Do me a favour people... whoever is on their backs now, don't come back in 6 months time proclaiming how great they are when things finally click :angry:

What's the big deal?? Alonso sez we need to shore up our defensive tactics.. and we do...
Gerrard said we need two or three big players over the summer and we did... nothing wrong with that.
It's not like he said that hyypia and carra are inept.. just we need to work on our tactics.

alosnos is able to voice his concersn if he wishes, he has said nothing worong, he thinks we need to tighten our defence and I agree with him, we were supsect at the back against Bolton, however Sami was injured and Traore had to come on.
