La liga and the premier league is 2 different things mate , i think he'd do a decent job for spurs maybe 15 goals a season , honestly they could do alot worse than bent and pavelchenko . So now they've got 5 strikers , defoe , keane , pavelchenko , bent and negardo if he comes . Bent looks set to leave however , i reckon if we should put in a bid for him , he can do a decent job , provide cover for torres and is pacey as hell

They allegedly want £15m+ for Bent which is a lot to pay for a backup striker.

like I say I've never seen Negredo play so I have very little opinion of him. the fact that he's being touted for £15-20m does seem a bit steep for a player I've never even heard of so obviously I'd have my reserves about signing him

15 million they can feck right off then. As for negardo well real madrid are :censored: they have a buy back clause for him at 5 to 7 million i think and now they've made a tidy profit on him .

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez admires the versatility of Albacete youngster Ritchie Kitoko.

The Daily Mail says Kitoko likes to sit in front of back four but can also play wide right. Has been mentioned to Liverpool scouts and he may be a cheap option to boost squad numbers should they lose one or two star midfielders.

Born in Congo but has Belgian second nationality which would qualify him to play in England.

From The Times:

Liverpool will intensify their efforts to sign David Silva, the Valencia playmaker, with Xabi Alonso expected to complete a £32 million move to Real Madrid next week.

The Spain midfield player is not expected to travel with the Liverpool squad for their pre-season tour to Asia tomorrow night. Real Sociedad, who sold Alonso for £10.5 million in August 2004, stood to receive 20 per cent of the transfer fee, but that agreement is scheduled to expire today.

It was unclear last night whether Wesley Sneijder, Real’s attacking midfield player, would be used as a makeweight in the prospective transfer.

Sneijder and Silva  :nod

sounds good to me. I'd love Xabi to stay and it's gonna be a massive loss but he should be allowed to go  :(

Harry Redknapp after the Spurs vs Bournemouth game said that he's not interested in Negredo.

Sneijder and Silva would be great. One can play on the LW whilst the other plays in the centre and they can change throughout the game!! Title here we come.

£32 million + Sneijder

Although not bad, we'll still need a class midfielder better than Sneijder. He's too attacking minded for Rafa's linking. Assuming Silva cost around £25 million, we should still have enough cash to land a center mid around £20 M (remaining £7 from Xabi's sell and £13 M from here and there). All and all, we will be in a comfortable situation at the start of the season.
