was watching some videos on Rubio, Gasol, and Kaka on Marca, and the person whose Spanish I could understand the best was Kaka :D

also there was a very strange video of some little kid from America shooting at a basketball hoop in the form of a flip-throw. I have no idea why that was on there, it made me laugh though   :D

Joe, the basque flag is pretty new (1895) as that's when the independentist movement was created. Not before.

The white cross represents God and his laws, the red, represents Bizkaia (a basque province in which the nationalist founder based his ideology) and the green cross is for St. Andrew.

It's obviously a copy of the brittish design.

On the videos of Marca, they often include videos from America like curiosities, fights, and brilliant baskets.

Meaning of the Flag

Historically the flag of Biscay was red. When Sabino Arana created the flag, he wanted to give it the meaning "Biscay, Independence and God", so the red color of the field means Biscay, the green St. Andrew's cross means the independence of the Basque Country, and it is green because it symbolizes the oak tree of Gernika, symbol of Basque freedom, as well. The white cross means God [and it appears on the Biscay arms].
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

There was a battle in the year 867 and that battle took place in the St Andrew day.

It´s the same for me joe with the english, when I hear a foreigner speaking english I understand him better than an english guy, probably because a foreigner vocalizes more and speaks slower.

Yeh, he's the founder of nationalism. Before him the Basque independentism did not exist.

Why Alex call him a bitter? well because Alex is nice. Arana was a racist, facist, full of complex cúnt. His ideas were not much better than the ones of the Mein Kampf. Nowadays his party has not anything to do with that ultra nationalism, but no doubt the bad seeds of hatred were born with this man. A man who lived as anti spanish, but when he died he was Spanish. A typical man of the late XIX, in that Europe full of nationalism and that led to what we all know in the early XX century.
