just finished season 4... what a fecking ending!!!!

tough choice between 3 and 4 for me, but Bodie and snoops possibly edged season 4

Snoop is/was quality, altho took me about 5 eps to work out she was a she lol

I know I'm a little late to this here party but, feck me, what an outstanding, outstanding show! :buttrock

The missus and I just burned through all five series on DVD over the course of the month. We ended feeling like half the fiends on the show, desperate for our daily fix. Such outstanding writing, compelling characters, pull-no-punches story telling--truly top notch.

I was trying to sort out who my favourite characters were and then gave up...way too many. (But here are a few anyway:)

Omar....nuff said, just awesome. :bowdown

Boady...loved his wise-a.ss wit and spastic physicality ("this sh.it is oa-an")
Chris Partlow...cold as f.ucking ice
The Bunk...cracked me up almost every scene
Kiema...kick a.ss woman in a man's world more than holding her own--nice
Bubs...glad to see how that story line turned out
Dennis/Cuddy...loved the deadpan drawl
Stringer Bell...especially when he wore his glasses and sprinkled in the knowledge he was getting from economics class!

Norman...the scene where he's p.issing himself laughing as Carcetti is bricking it over Daniels's and Rhonda's bombshell was class
Augustus...pity we couldn't see him get the victory he deserved at the end
Slim Charles...another cool as f.uck character always ready to stand tall
Prop Joe...besides the most obvious 'shock' demise, I was most startled when he bowed out--he seemed to have everything all worked out
Bunny Colvin...one of the angels you loved to hate in Supernatural is also the ex-cop you want to see succeed more than anything here

I think I could keep going and wax poetical about every character, big role or small--from McNulty down to the random moops standing around on the corners. In fact, the only character I really had a problem with was Carcetti. Not because he was a bit of a slimeball--you expect and require characters like that in this kind of show. More because I didn't always find him believable as an actor. He just didn't feel right to me in the way that 99% of the other characters did. Ah well, the show's not perfect.

So, as I say, late to this here thread (glad I'm finally able to read through it without fear of spoilers) but just had to show some love for one of the finest shows I've seen. Feel me? :nod
