I would sell Beni if Barca is willing to pay for 10 million or more. Barca definitely has the money. I would then buy Tuncay for cover as he will cost less and probably getting very similar result. Anyway, getting bored nowadays as other teams were talking about Ribery, Kaka, C. Ronaldo, Tevez but we are stuck to discuss players like Distin, Tuncay and Lennon.....So depressing....When are the Yanks going to leave us alone and sell their stake to someone who cares more...

Please tell me you are joking?

There's more to Liverpool than that.

We don't want his sort here...

I'm not bar his attitude there's no doubt about his footballing ability

Madrid are set to pip chelsea to villa as the president said that talks between them and madrid are advanced . As for benny he's a useful player and if we had to sell to barca i'd hope rafa ask's for a swap for hleb who's not used by barca much anyways . Hleb is a fantastic player as we all saw at arsenal , hasn't really worked out at barca for him though and i'm sure he'd relish the oppturnity to return to the prem again

I think it would be a bad move to sell Benni, the money you would get for him you could not buy better.

Yea.. Hleb is one of the most naturally talented players iv seen in the prem in the last few years.. amazing with both feet and can really open up tight defenses with his dribbles in tight spaces and his excellent through balls... would take his over Benny every day of the week... Benny had a great ending to last season but besides that he did very little to warrant a second mention now has he... useful little player iv always said but a little too inconsistent to be a first team starter week in week out.. which is where Hleb comes in....

On a side note... why are Barcelona interested in Benny anyways ?

Everyone sees things differently.  I hardly rate Hleb at all, but Barce still wanted him.  You don't rate Benny, but they still might want him.

Has to be it :D

Hlebs a cracking little player.

I think i seen that someone like Villa were interested in him the other week and was thinking i would have him at Liverpool deffo.

He could open up defences better than Yossi but i dont think he would get nearly as many goals. He was hardly prolific for Arsenal and that was in a side that player such open football creating so many chances.

So in a nutshell keep Yossi and sign Hleb  :D

Liverpool close in on £5m Real Madrid outcast Javier Saviola

Liverpool hope to complete the £5million transfer of Javier Saviola from Real Madrid next week.

Rafa Benitez is keen to sign the Argentina international nicknamed the Rabbit who joined Madrid on a Bosman free from Barcelona two years ago.

The 27-year-old, who has scored 12 goals in 44 internationals, has struggled to establish himself at the Bernabeu and has been told to vacate the No 9 shirt, which will be worn by Cristiano Ronaldo next season.

Ronaldo, on the verge of completing an £80m transfer from Manchester United, has already trademarked 'CR9' for marketing purposes.

Saviola, who has Spanish citizenship, will have even fewer chances with Madrid following the arrival of Kaka and Ronaldo and would offer Liverpool more options in attack.

Madrid intend to offload up to 10 players to accommodate and help fund a spending spree that could reach £260m.

The Spanish giants want to sign Xabi Alonso and, after meeting resistance from Liverpool, may offer Saviola as part of a renewed bid for the 27-year-old.

Alonso also interests Manchester City, but Benitez insists he is going nowhere.
