I think we can safely say the Silva deal will not go ahead at all now...

We could never afford him anyway. And some peolpe were talking about 15mil plus Voronin and Babel. ???

Valencia's financial position means they have to maximise any sales. He will probably go to Real Madrid.

Inter defender Maicon insists he is leaving the club because its directors are too busy dealing with the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and not his own.

The 27-year-old Brazil international had an excellent season and established himself as one of the best full-backs in the world.

“I am not a phenomenon, but I am not any old player either,” Maicon told La Gazzetta dello Sport in a candid interview.

“For three years Inter have treated me with indifference, perhaps, because they are all worried about satisfying Ibrahimovic.

“New contracts. Special prizes. I am not jealous of Ibra. He is a phenomenon. This is not the problem. I am tired of being mistreated.”

Maicon feels he deserves more because he has always been committed to the Nerazzurri even amid interest from Real Madrid.

“I quickly said that I would willingly stay with Inter to win the blessed Champions League. As you see, I have made all the good actions.

“From the club I have only heard silence. The attitude makes me suffer,” Maicon explained.

“I asked my agent Antonio Caliendo to do everything possible to make me happy again. I am looking for happiness at Inter or another club.”

Maicon's anger with the Nerazzurri is not just in the boardroom either. He feels the club's doctors have treated him poorly, too.

“Brazil's medical staff quickly understood my physical problems. I improved more in the past seven days on international duty than in the last two months at Inter. I cannot not reflect on this aspect.”

Maicon made 40 appearances for Inter this season and managed to score five goals, which is an impressive return for a full-back.

Sensational player , would love him here but i doubt we will be able to afford him

As for drogba yes his attitude stinks but he's still one of the top strikers in the world and if we need a goal he's the one who can get you one , unstopable on his day and powerful in the air something that we lack .

Assuming he wasn't a c.unt would he really play 2nd fiddle to Torres. No so that would rule him out anyway. Remember how he just didn't perform when Scolari was there? Would it really be worth risking bringing someone like that. But it doesn't matter as he is a :censored: and isn't fit to wear the red shirt.

£82.7 million Ronaldo deal agreed?

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid have agreed to pay Manchester United £82.7 million to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Fresh from breaking the transfer record after bringing AC Milan’s Kaka to the Bernabeu, Florentino Perez has signalled his intent to reignite his faltering Real Madrid side by bringing the current World and European player of the year to Spain.

Reports in Spanish publication El Mundo Deportivo suggest the two clubs have agreed the deal, said to be worth a staggering £82.7 million, and the Spanish giants have even sent out their club doctor and a representative to meet with the Portuguese star who is currently holidaying in Los Angeles.

Manchester United’s stance on their star asset has softened in part due to the player’s flirtatious and continuous overtures towards Madrid and also because of Perez’s diplomatic approach.

Where his predecessor Ramon Calderon unashamedly touted Manchester United’s player as his own, Perez has been upfront with his intentions and so far honest with negotiations report the Daily Mail.

The newspaper also suggest a deal has been down, although they report that the final amount owed to Manchester United is closer to £75 million. The transfer fee will supposedly be paid over six years in a number of instalments.

If this is the sort of money they are willing to throw around and Alonso gets sold to them I will be dissapointed if it is for less than 27Mil.

good deal for utd. good about ribery as well, as we'd never be able to afford him, it means that chelsea and utd wont get him.

ronaldo his an excellent footballer, and can change games, but for £80+ million, its a good sell - providing they can tempt a ribery/silva/villa/benzema etc to play in these lovely british winters we have!

We should be trying for Joaquin anyway. He is a much more realistic target.
