9 wins (4 at home , 5 away), a full third of all their results have been 1-0.

they've had 3x 1-1 draws, and  lost to us (4-1 and 2-1), at arsenal (2-1)

meaning they have 30 points from their 15 games where they only scored once (almost double our points tally from 1 goal games)

sounds like we need to keep more clean sheets, rather than score more goals

:D

But we're not Man Utd, besides have you a suggestion as to how we keep more clean sheets? Better keeper perhaps? Buy the manc back four perhaps?

They have won nine games 1-0 but we've haven't, simple as. Wouldn't it be much simpler to score more goals than attempt to keep more clean sheets, never guaranteed to be successful even for teams like Chelsea.

It would be a clever trick to add another five 1-0s to our record (we have managed that scoreline just four times this season), but I'd be happier scoring two goals a game than trying to hold onto 1-0 or score late winners. I think we'd be bags of nerves trying to copy that manc record, besides it is a rarity as I did the stats for elsewhere.

Premiership Champions 1-0 wins

07/08 7
06/07 4
05/06 5
04/05 11
03/04 2 (unbeaten season)
02/03 5

A lot harder to do than you're trying to portray

By the way, our record includes 19 clean sheets, unfortunately a number of those were 0-0. We've won four games 1-0, five 0-0 draws but TEN games won by more than one goal to nil..........................

They may have picked up 30 points from 15 games scoring once, they have picked up a lot more from scoring more than once. We've picked up 59 points from scoring more than once compared to just 21 from scoring less than once, that's nearly three times as many points by merely scoring twice.

Bottom line is both teams have lost games when scoring one or less goals, trying to sit back and defend will mean we may concede less but we'll end up back to not scoring as many and our relative free scoring has proved a good way to pick up points recently

Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

i agree with this , but remember:

up until the last season or 2 , it's chelsea and manu that have gained 6 pts a season each off us  :D  (putting us at a "12 point differential" from each of the big2 before even considerign the rest of our fixtures)

I think after 20 years we can't exactly demand Rafa wins the title. IMO we weren't even close when he was first came so I don't see why he should have to go for finjishing second. As Mick said, this is our first genuine title challenge in 19 years and people think he should go if he doesn't win it. Sounds a bit mad as far as I'm concerned. I'm as desperate for the league as anyone but FACT is Rafa's took us closer than anyone else has in the last two decades

If we sack rafa, I can't bear the fact that we have to start all over again.

Another 5 year plan??

But I think we have already discussed this many times did we not?.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

holy crrappss.... still talking about winning the league arent we... eh well...

if we dont win it next season then we might aswell sack Rafa... If we dont win it then i reckon itll be for the same reason we missed out this season which would mean that Rafa is indeed unable to learn from his mistakes... wouldnt want him wasting more time and money if we dont....

the whole 20 years without a title thing cant be used as an excuse to give him more time.. anyone stop to think that maybe, just maybe we havent won it for 20 years because we just give the manager too much time ?! We've improved this season and if we improve next season then we'll most probably win the league.. if we dont it'll probably mean that we havent improved further which in my books should signal the end of the whole Rafa thing.... too little in too long.. not good enough
