Other scores / results - Significant or not

The Premiership - General Discussion

Arsenal really missed Arshavin tonight. Adebayor was woeful as well. Hope Droopy is injured for a bit, even just missing Saturday will be enough. I reckon Barca will get through after a score draw at SB and encounters between Man U and Arsenal are pretty unpredictable so Arsenal may still get to the final

The one positive from last night is there's no way Arsenal can play that badly again. It makes me laugh that Wenger gets this "proffesor of football tag". His tactics were all over the place, especially in the first half. Diaby wide left, Nasri as a holding player and Fabregas off the front man where he couldn't get enough of the ball.

Tis the way I see it too Bob. I fancy Chelsea to win it though this time. It really cannot be overstated what a good thing it is for us that Hiddink is moving on next season. Just about the only scenario I can think of that would be worse for us than Hiddink staying is of course the ultimate nightmate scenario. Fortunately for us, there has been too much Perrier water under the bridge for that one to come to pass, and besides, I think he'll do one more year in Italy   :;):

I know, mate.  I almost want Chelsea to win through next week because I fancy their chances more than Barcelona's against the Mancs in the final.  Don't get me wrong, Barcelona are a great side but they have their weaknesses against English opposition and I expect the Mancs will be able to exploit them once more.

So, you think he-who-shall-not-be-named offers them more than Hiddink would?  Perhaps or perhaps it would be a case of 'you should never go back'.  I don't think he'd want to anyway...he doesn't strike me as the kind of fella that likes to retrace his steps.  In any case, I hope Hiddink means it when he says he's off.  Not that he's invincible, mind--just that he is a top coach and would offer some stability and an unsettled Chelsea certainly works to our advantage.

I don't think I could take another late United win. If Boro are going to lose, I hope they just give up the goal early.

I have to say that Boro aren't playing as bad as I thought they would, but their final balls are :censored:.
