Player managers

The Premiership - General Discussion

Kenny Dalglish was a fabulous player - fact. He was also a wonderful manager too, we all know this. But I reckon he was a one off in terms of being a player/manager.

Have we seen the last of the 'player/managers'?

How many other players would make good player managers from the current Premier league?

None. Players are younger now than they used to be, less mature and making too much money.

99.9% lack the drive and intelligence to make a successful transition.

I think Carra and Stevie will make good managers one day. They will translate the drive they have shown as players if they choose to go into managment. I think Xabi can be another Rafa. :D
