Albiol eyes 'perfect' Prem

Valencia central defender Raul Albiol has admitted he would welcome a move to one of the Premier League's big guns.

The Spanish side are in the midst of a cash crisis and have already admitted that they could be forced to sell a number of star players in a bid to balance the books.

Strikers David Villa and David Silva have been attracting admiring glances from across Europe, while Albiol has been linked with a possible switch to Arsenal or Liverpool.

The Spain international had previously stated he was keen to remain at the Mestella, but while he is happy with Los Che he admits the lure of a move to England could prove hard to resist.
Perfect

Albiol told skysports.com: "If I leave Valencia I would only go to a big club.

"The Premier League could be perfect because I have always been a fan of the football they play.

"But I am happy in Valencia at the moment."

The 23-year-old still has two more years to run on his current contract with reports suggesting a fee of around 20million euros (£18.5million) would be enough to secure his services.

Valencia's sporting director Fernando Gomez confirmed that clubs from England were monitoring Albiol, but are yet to make their interest official with a firm bid.

Gomez said: "The situation has not changed and we are obliged to sell players. We know of the English interest but we have not received a formal offer for Raul."

id take albiol... better than Agger and Skrtel imo... they have some good players...  id look at Miguel for rightback... Mata, Joaquin, Silva for the middle... Villa upfront... I'd love it if one of Silva or Villa join but i think Joaquin is the player we'd need most of the buch above... so if it came down to choices id take Joaquin + miguel ahead of Silva i guess... Joaquin is a brilliant footballer and i think he'd be fantastic with us... go for it rafa

Rumor is United and Real are going to start talking about a transfer fee for the diving tw@t ronaldo.  With his current form I'd rather him stay on United then United getting 120 million to buy :censored: 2-4 top class players, would be the perfect way to stop us from signing anyone.

I don't think based on this season Utd would be able to command such a silly figure. Probably around 35 - 40 id say maybe. Plus it doesn't really matter how much they have to spend. They have always spent premium money anyway. We just need to hope Rafa gets a nice pot to spend in the summer.

I think he's on par with skrtel , who's hardly put a wrong foot in all season . Agger's a tad bit overrated by our own fans . Joaquin is a shadow of what he formerly was  and i'd take silva out of the 3 the most .

I don't know what Albiol's injury history is like, but if it is stellar, it might be worth cutting ties with Agger and selling him to Milan and bringing in Albiol, if he has a deflated selling price due to Valencia's need to sell

But do you think Sami will stay on for next season? If he leaves/retires we would still need someone else too. Can't we have Agger and Albiol. :D

Ronaldo is desperate to leave England, he´s not happy there. I know it because I spoke with his cousin. He prefers the spanish weather and the life-style of south europe. he will go sooner than later.

Joaquin is cr.ap

Wouldnt say he is cr ap but he has just died away ever since the 02 world cup and is nowhere near as good as he used to be . Abidol is an ok player but again he isnt that special and both agger and skittles are better than him . Banega signed for a lot for valencia but was loaned out if im correct and hasnt lived up to his billing . Miguel is a very good right back but not sure how old he is now . Vicente is more injury prone than Kewell and Degen put together.

The only two players i would really want from Valencia is Villa and Silva with silva being my first choice becuase of him fitting into our team better and think we have a good chance of getting him

40 mil?  I don't think this one season will drop his price that much, and its madrid who overspends on just about everything.  I'd say at least 70 mil.

ManUre would be happy to reduce their debt position selling Ronnivestite and not giving Fergie any money to spend. He doesnt need any new players, he has a great squad already.
