Ha are you serious?
squander:
verb
"to waste opportunities by not using them to your advantage"
Do you not understand the question?
Let me simplify:
When we get throw-ins how come so many are wasted?
Or havent you noticed?
Pssst...By the way Riise plays for Roma...

So you have never seen players fuming or questioning or objecting if they dont get the decision?
Maybe we see games differently. Keep your eye out in future and youll see what I mean
Other teams seem to take throw ins more seriously and do their best not to give the ball back to the opposition from the result of a throw in.
We generally dont.
I wondered if anyone else noticed this.
You obviously havent

But is there any point us hurling the ball into the area when we've not many good headers of the ball? Unless you have an accurate long-ball merchant to throw it in, you could simply waste possession. Best use of a throw in from my perspective is what we did against Besiktas, quick and releasing a player (even if it should have been their throw!) We do lose possession too easily at times from throw-ins, but more often from passes
PS has anyone noticed how often we squander possession in open play, from free-kicks, corners, shots..........................? Quick, make Sir Roger the manager.
