Slightly off topic but I hope this Barrera bares little resemblence to the one who put Naseem Hamed over his knee a few years back. Hopefully he's an old man on his way down now, if he isn't the young fella Khan is biting off a whole lot more than he can chew IMHO. Anywhere near his best, Barrera would give him a proper good hiding I reckon.

Everyone that plays the mancs has to try to beat them, without making it easier for the mancs to win. Therein lies the problem, if most of the Premiership attack then the mancs can repel most of what they have to offer and pick their opponents off. If they try to defend for a draw then the mancs normally find a way through, that's why they are champions.

But we, and Arsenal, and other teams have to try. We have to try and make it a contested title even if it's Chelsea contesting it not us. We have to try and win every game, that much is true from those making all the noise about "not giving up" on here. BUT we've already shown that around 40% of the time we drop points, why should that suddenly change just because we dont' want to concede the title and badly want to win all remaining games and fight to the end?

What we want and what we get ain't necessarily going to be the same. I'm sure the smaller F1 teams want to win GPs, doesn't mean it will happen.

Think the difference with this game Owzat is its the Mancs and its a big game against a big team - the sort of matches we dont seem to have a problem with as much these days as evident already this season . I can see it being a very cagey affair with lots of midfield possesion from both teams but a very careful approach to going forward with the fear of being hit on the counter attack from either team and i expect it to be either a very dull and boring nil nil or one team scrapping a 1-0 , with the hope its liverpool .

our inability to capatilize on smaller teams have been our undoing.

that aside, regardless of our position in the league - the double over man utd would be sweet and sour their title (if they are to win it). As far as im concerned, they can have the dummy title, if they cant beat us  :nod

I know we beat Chelsea at SB without any Torres and we beat Utd at home with no Gerrard oR Torres and we beat Real away with no Gerrard but this is different. All those teams were on a bad run and pretty much in a dire state. Utd are on form and if we are going to win we will need both Gerrard and Torres playing at 100%.

Good point judge if we can do double over them it won't be such a sweet victory for them it be more then we let title go then them winning it.

thats cheered me up alot :D  now all we have to do is beat the manc's easyer said then done of course.

I don't think we will beat them, Ill be happy with a draw, even if  its the most boring game on earth and walk away with a 0-0 ill be happy.

The Mancs have been lucky of late. A good performance from our boys should hold us in good stead for the CL. If Stevie is playing we can beat anyone. We need to beat them to wipe the smug look off all those self satisfied Manc supporters. Their run is really beginning to grate and it looks like we are the only team capable (on a good day) of beating them.
