being a newbie not too sure if i ought to answer for being tagged and outcast, but she did not do me or my family any harm, thats not to say that she may have caused misery and hatred from various communities. She stood up to be counted with the Falklands, and stood up to the the people hiding behind the iron curtain, albeit with a ageing filmstar leading the way, i really dont belive that any other person, right or left could have stood up and got results. Would the iron cutain have fallen without her (their) stubborness, maybe, maybe not, but she in view helped bring that old communist block come down. i am sure i will be shot down in flames now, but there you go.

I dont know how people hold up the Falklands as some massive achievement for Thatcher.

They were a 2-bit poxy army on some mad propaganda exercise for a government who's popularity was waning big time.

It doesn't matter who was PM at the time, even John Major would have kicked @rse.

Its the injustice of it all. Everyone deserves a fair crack my man whether it's Prince Charles claiming tax relief or the bin man knocking off early. To take people's work away was wrong. I think Thatcher ruined many a working man's life, family and community. When 'God' was supporting the Dockers he was looking at these, dare I say, socialist principles rather than the capitalist ones eschewed by Thatcher and her cohorts. I think LFC is all inclusive but I would imagine is made up of predominantly working class folk, it doesn't matter. Standing up for what is right does!

Just to remedy a mistake in above diatribe: eschewed (avoid; abstain from) should have been espoused (adopt or support). Sorry given up fags recently and am talking more shat than ever!

Packed in the fags five years ago (60 a day) myself and I've talked perpetual sh!t ever since. Bizarrely, just recently I've been getting a few hankerings. I told the Mrs the other day I was thinking about going back on 'em, went down a storm that one did.

I like smoking. I enjoy it. im on 20 a day roughly, but a decent night out that can easily hit triple figures.

Theres a bird at work, one of them 'just quit' tyopes. thats the worst... fecking annoying!!!

your having a laugh now mate, it's all down to opinion's but one things for sure i have never voted tory in my years i qualified to vote & never will! thatcher's goverment where a fecking nightmare, which i can recall being of a certain age. & imho regardless of how bad things seem now, they seemed a fecking lot worse when thatcher was in power. anyway mate i really don't want to discuss this any futher cause just the thought of thatcher makes my blood boil! p.s the daughter's fecking ugly aswell!
