Just had a say that the Rafa inteveiw after the game was very strange, it was a bit like "i just get the team ready for the next game".

now its "I dont know ask the Ref", SSN picked up on it aswell.

Very Strange

Really speaking our squad could not have copped with extra games, imagine we played Villa and had to have another replay inbetween these fixtures.

If gerrard was on i think we would have...  :nod

Not so sure, he went off early and wasn't exactly bossing the game before that.

Poor display, the ref contributed to our loss but I don't blame him. His approach was good in the first half, but half their dirty fouling side could have been booked and yet only two were. Second half he must have changed mindset, Lucas got booked without it being a foul and his second yellow got him sent off. We didn't look like scoring anyway, but that didn't help. From then on in the bitters FINALLY looked like they were the home side and needed to push for a winner, took our star player coming off, Torres having no impact and a red card for them to finally look better than us - and we weren't playing well at all!

But again Rafa looked clueless with tactics and substitutions. Torres may as well have come off as he was getting no change out of his marker and was ineffective. Lucas played quite well, Skrtel and the ref got him sent off - booked unfairly to start with, but WTF was Skrtel doing giving the ball away like that?!? Alonso also had a stinker, Riera was almost anonymous and for once (in the last few games) Kuyt played better than most.

So why criticise Rafa's subs? The first was enforced, Benayoun came on and looked like he might win us the game for about 10-15 mins before become a workhorse and not a lot attacking wise. Rafa then waited, and waited, and waited until after Lucas was sent off in the 76th minute to bring on a second sub four minutes later. Did he look to win it? No, he brought on Mascherano and settled for extra time. I'm no big fan of Babel, but any idiot (except Rafa) could see that he wasn't going to be given any space and wouldn't score, so I'd have brought on Babel for him any time after 60 mins - not after 101 mins of running Torres into the ground through hard work which won't do him any good.

Of course the starting XI including Dossena and Lucas was a joke for starters. Dossena got into really good crossing positions and didn't do any good crossing at all. We should have stuffed them in the first game, Rafa's genius took it to 210 mins to lose a game we should have won in 90 might as well have lost in 90 if we were going to lose - save us 120 mins hard work.

Good news is that's one less distraction, bad news is Rafa seems increasingly clueless in terms of winning or positively influencing games during them that I can see us winning less games than we draw or lose until the end of the season.

Last 10 games (all competitions) P10 W4 D5 L1 F16 A5

Half of our goals in the last 10 games have come in a 3-0 over Bolton and 5-1 over Newcastle. We've kept four clean sheets during a spell in which the mancs have kept 12 in a row, and while four of those were away games, all but one were against sides that we should be beating - the last game shouldn't have been necessary.

And yet another similarity added to the comparison with 1990/91 - losing an FA Cup replay to the bitters. The comparison is to within one point after 25 games in the respective seasons, ironically in the 26th league game of 1990/91 we beat the bitters. How times change though, nine of the last 15 league games of the 1990/91 season were against sides not currently in the top flight - one on the brink of leaving the football league altogether now.

No one can point the blame at officials for the game last night, it was a typical derby stalemate that Everton managed to get out of with a fortunate strike. Saying this I really am not bothered about losing that much, this year was always about the League and as much as we have tried to throw it away we are still in the thick of it.

The one thing that worried me last night was prior to Babel coming on we had no competent attack, even with 10 men we should be able to apply some pressure without having to camp in our own half hoping for penalties.

Heimdall has feck all to say for starters he has furniture named after him in Ikea and he should support his local team in Norway fact.

Why is he fond of Liverpool because of Riise? Glory hunter thats all, doesnt go to games doesnt contribute feck all just moans and winges on here about my beloved club.

WOW, tocuhed a nerve did I?

I'll support whoever I want to Ciggy, it's not up to you, I've been in the hospitality suite at Anfield quite a few times met players like Fowler and McManaman, had a beer with Grobbelar, have you done any of these things?

Why are you always trying to belittle people, it's pathetic.

I love the way you lot always come out with the same tired and idiotic arguments and insults. Glory hunter is one that has never made sense to me, if I was a glory hunter why on earth would I have supported Liverpool for the last 17 years, can you answer me that?

I actually quite liked you as a poster but your constant xenophobia and taunts about me being Norwegian are very dissapointing. If you are typical of a Scouser then I'm delighted not to be one but I know that the reality is that you are not typical of a Scouser, I have quite a few who I count as good friends. You are just a stupid little girl who has to resort to pathetic cliche arguments and vulgarities because your vocabularity and mind just aren't quite big enough.

My most damning inditement of you though is that you are fickle.

I saw comments in a thread asking why Dossena and Lucas weren't sold. Simple answer is our squad is threadbare as it is, I gather Degen has suffered a further injury setback - is that three injuries in three games played so far this season? Must be some kind of record

The shame is this game went to a replay, we should approach both domestic cups as "do or die - no replays". It's about time the FA saw the FA Cup the same way a lot of sides do and did away with replays. Too many fixtures, too few sides really care if they go out and most would rather concentrate on the league instead. I think most fans would prefer an extra 30 mins and pens on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon/early evening, to a replay on a cold evening with the extra time and penalties going on much later and away fans (usually) having a long way to go home.

Dossena is a strange one - couple of months ago his tackling and defending was shocking namely his position but his crossing was pretty damn good . last couple of games he has played he has looked far better defending and last night made numerous great tackles and blocks and was bombing forward all game but his crossing was bloody awful .

Wasteful indeed, I cant understand how he is the best Italy has to offer.

Anyway I hope Gerrard only misses this weekends game at most. (and the England game of course)

Just fking awful! The team looked down and I blame it all on Robbie Keane! Seriously though just how many games this season have Liverpool looked really convincing. Recent performance against Chelsea was really not that great - Chelsea were shight!

Torres hobbling, Gerrard knackered, Lucas not fit to be at the club, Keane sold, Mascha not playing well, Skrtel not back to his best but getting there, Benayoon very frustrating, Babel lacking a footballing brain and Rafa showing serious signs of a man under pressure! If we win anything this season it will be a miracle. Gawd it's so fking depressing. Players earning more in a week than some people earn in five years and showing about as much interest as a dead rat! Ffs I am fed up - where's my fkn gun !! Sorry lads I love the team but I just had to get that off my chest!!
