Well there's less than 12 hours for it to be resolved so "get on with it" is not optional, it's do it in 12 hours or he's here for six more months minimum.

I gather Alonso got booked and that's a suspension for him, I think Mascherano and Gerrard are also approaching their fifth bookings. Might explain why Alonso didn't start against Wigan.

Source : FPL

Mascherano : 4 yellow cards
Gerrard : 4 yellow cards
Alonso : 4 yellow cards (not updated yet?)

As for Lampard's red - straight red for a gay blue  :oh:  Just kidding frank, gay doesn't start with an 'f' so you'll always be fat frank. Harsh red card, not sure it made much difference to the way they played or the result - our goal was down to a laughable goalkeeping error. Gerrard made a lunging challenge and didn't see red, I thought Blimey O' had a shocker and I was p1ssed off Webb did the Geordie-Slumberland game. Maybe it was as well for us he did, that and the seeming negative nature of the blues who were poor. No wonder they've picked up just one point out of 15 against 'big four' rivals this season.

'Big Four' mini-table

Liverpool P4 W3 D1 L0 PTS 10
Arsenal P3 W2 D1 L0 PTS 7
Man Utd P4 W1 D1 L2 PTS 4
Chelsea P5 W0 D1 L4 PTS 1

Top of one table, just goes to show how little winning those games matter in the overall picture as we're still behind the mancs in the one that counts.

fat frank is ........................ in my fantasy team! Currently (as I type) THREE injuries in there since I last checked and a fat frank red card. Can't get the f in jinx to hit Ronaldo are Berbatov though  :veryangry Had a desired effect on Le Sulk

C'mon pal. that post was garbage

Don't take my word for it; just check the stats...

:talktothehand If it's Ok with you I'll not bother with the stats on this one. I just look at the game and it's enough.

All about opinions though, we're all entitled to one  :;): .

:D  :D

There's something just so pesky about statistics! Sorry though, but where I come from, stats are often the unbiased arbiter, which opinion never seems to match...

But thats just me.

You'll have to post them or the Kuyt bashers will bury their heads in the sand and rely on no evidence other than their "own eyes" and (poor) memories

Interestingly enough the commentary on the first goal might have read :

Kuyt, plays the ball to Gerrard, a nice ball through to Aurelio who gets to the byline and crosses.......................TORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Torres scores at the near post, poor keeping by Cech who was anticipating the cross to the far post and was caught out. Excellent ball from Aurelio.

He also played the ball square for Alonso to hit a superb shot which Cech pushed over the bar. Kuyt does frustrate, sometimes poor control, other times a poor cross etc and sadly that seems to come first in people's minds over the positives so match threads can double up as Kuyt bashing threads.

The statistic I will post is one that came up on MOTD for goals this season from the side that started :

PREMIERSHIP GOALS 08/09 (Starting XI vs Chelsea 01/02/09)

Gerrard : 9
Torres : 7
KUYT : 5
Alonso : 3
Riera : 2
Mascherano : 0

Source : FPL

He's lost form quite a bit since being moved back and forth due to a certain £20.3m player and injury to Torres. But for Kuyt we would probably be where Arsenal are. He needs to pick up form, get the bashers of his back and score some more goals and work on his crossing. He's also credited with three assists, Gerrard tops that list with five - you wouldn't think Kuyt was anywhere near Gerrard in contribution the way he gets bashed every game.

I'm afraid that's simply not true. Peter Cech cost them the game, edging towards the edge of his six yard box anticipating a far post cross and getting caught out of position. THAT cost them the draw they seemed happy to settle for.

Good cross from Aurelio to pick out the one threat in the box, good cameo from Benayoun but I don't buy into the idea Rafa got his subs right for a change. Benayoun came on the other week, gave away a free-kick and they equalised from it. Riera maybe deserved to be subbed today, but when Benayoun came on you simply don't know what you'll get from him. He had a good game for the time he was on, although I'm not sure whether Cashley or Yossi pushed the ball into Torres' path for the second - hard to tell the replays I've seen. Good work by him nevertheless. It took way too long for Rafa to change things, I reckon the key substitution was to take off Mascherano, but again so bl**dy late you wonder if Rafa doesn't have an alarm set to go off 70 mins into the game to wake him up! I was just about giving up the game as 0-0, thankfully the "world's best goalkeeper" proved anything but and Cashley let us round it off and take four GD off them instead of just two.

The blues were toothless, useless and shockingly poor. Maybe they'll get fat frank's red rescinded, maybe they should get another for the boot in the back of our player that the linesman MUST have seen since it was right in front of him. Ref was poor, didn't expect any different although his red for fat frank might be a surprise for one of man utd's favourite refs, biggest fans and regular penalty awarder to said red side of manchester.

Kuyt was poor more than not, still did more than most will credit him for on here - no matter if it was contributions you can count on one hand. Riera wasn't much better, I still think that is our best starting XI and maybe the key substitutions were the ones that didn't happen ie leaving Torres and Gerrard on until the game was won. What's going on with Keane may be answered by 5pm tonight, bit late to bring anyone in as we were again short of strikers on the bench.

Hi Guys,

I broke my own personal match day rule on Wednesday and was on here after returning from the Wigan game. What a mistake that was as I descended into deep depression at LFC's ability to close out a result when the pressure is on. Yesterday at Anfield what a breath of fresh air it was to see Liverpool dominate a Chelsea team although low on confidence and teamwork had won their last 4 games at a canter.

2-0 flattered Chelsea and in the end we got what we deserve. It goes to show what "can" happen when you leave your best players on for the full 90 mins. Torres looked up for it from the off and chased everything down. We pressured Chelsea when they had the ball and in the end they crumbled.

A word about the KOP here................ I suspected it would be flat as a pancake after Wednesday's result but they showed that despite recent setback's they know and believe they have an important contribution to make. It was as noisy and vociferous as it has been all season, almost as if the KOP wanted to remind Chelsea what it was like in those previous CL encounters here.

Torres got the plaudits for obvious reasons but for me Alonso was by some margin the best player on the pitch. The sending off was harsh and TV replay suggests Lampard may have got the ball but his contribution was minmal and ineffective and Riley did him a favour as he was being outclassed by better players but doesn't that usually happen with Fat Frank when asked to pit him wits against the very best ?

Stevie G , probably the worlds best all round player at the moment was his usual high exceptionally standard, Carra imperious and even Benni came on and showed some of his West Ham form we shelled out good money for ! I liked Aurellio's play and he made some great crosses and worked so hard all game. Riera saw a lot of the ball but didn't always take the best option, Masca was growling in the mix and Kuyt gave 100%

My mate does that Fantasy Rafa thing and for only the 2nd time picked the full starting 11 but to most people that 11 would be the strongest side Rafa could field and there were no shocks or surprises. However with the FA cup replay to come and the CL last 16 on the horizon I think there just might be a few more shocks and surprises to come !

It's just suddenly dawned on me that we beat Chelsea 2-0 yesterday. So why don't I feel that great about it?

Because you never know what Liverpool is going to turn up in the next games.

We cannot afford to draw or lose any more every game is a must win from now on.

Enjoy it tho ER we where boss yesterday and our Nando is back :buttrock
