C'mon pal. that post was garbage

Don't take my word for it; just check the stats...

:talktothehand If it's Ok with you I'll not bother with the stats on this one. I just look at the game and it's enough.

All about opinions though, we're all entitled to one  :;): .

:D  :D

There's something just so pesky about statistics! Sorry though, but where I come from, stats are often the unbiased arbiter, which opinion never seems to match...

But thats just me.

You'll have to post them or the Kuyt bashers will bury their heads in the sand and rely on no evidence other than their "own eyes" and (poor) memories

Interestingly enough the commentary on the first goal might have read :

Kuyt, plays the ball to Gerrard, a nice ball through to Aurelio who gets to the byline and crosses.......................TORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Torres scores at the near post, poor keeping by Cech who was anticipating the cross to the far post and was caught out. Excellent ball from Aurelio.

He also played the ball square for Alonso to hit a superb shot which Cech pushed over the bar. Kuyt does frustrate, sometimes poor control, other times a poor cross etc and sadly that seems to come first in people's minds over the positives so match threads can double up as Kuyt bashing threads.

The statistic I will post is one that came up on MOTD for goals this season from the side that started :

PREMIERSHIP GOALS 08/09 (Starting XI vs Chelsea 01/02/09)

Gerrard : 9
Torres : 7
KUYT : 5
Alonso : 3
Riera : 2
Mascherano : 0

Source : FPL

He's lost form quite a bit since being moved back and forth due to a certain £20.3m player and injury to Torres. But for Kuyt we would probably be where Arsenal are. He needs to pick up form, get the bashers of his back and score some more goals and work on his crossing. He's also credited with three assists, Gerrard tops that list with five - you wouldn't think Kuyt was anywhere near Gerrard in contribution the way he gets bashed every game.

Nice try sgs but the FACTS don't back you up mate.

goals     08/9       07/08       06/07
crouch      8            5             9
Kuyt         5            3            12

Assists
Crouch     4             1             6
Kuyt        4             4             4

mins played
Crouch   2012        923         1442
Kuyt      2026      2163          2489

So crouch has scored 22 goals with 11 assists in 4380mins
and Kuyt  has scored  20goals  with 12 assists in 6678mins.

Please remember Rob Stiles last season messing up awarding Chelsea the phantom penalty that got them a 1-1 at anfield last season. We were robbed then...

See, your guilty feelin is gone now.

Also Bosignwa got away with his kung fu on Benayouin.....

It all evens out eventually  :)

Just to add to that, where Chelsea even in the game anyway ?
Think Reina might as well have gone akip for all the stuff he had to do.
Rather like when Mascherano got sent off for us against the mancs last year and we had some saying it cost us the game - that was a game that we were struggling in anyway.
Chelsea played for a draw despite what Scolari said post match (that they would go for win)
We were knocking on the door all game and fully deserved the breakthrough.
Alex must of made about 4 great blocks in there area as well.

I can well imagine you were choking on your chips when Torres banged in two goals.

Foul/Penalty? Arguably, probably, been given, been not given

Well, I'll find out soon enough. The repeat is on Setanta at the moment.

The FA has made a statement that no disciplinary action will be taken against Bosingwa for the foul on Benayoun.

What a joke  :no
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

Yep, definite penalty alright. Arteta did kick out when Carrick went by him. Silly boy   :no

We'd be screaming if one our own didn't get one for that.
