:(

I predict a (no, not riot!) :censored:-storm in here, if we don't win considering the team Rafa is putting out :D

Not happy at all about the Lucas for Alonso thing, and Babel didn't exactly set the world on fire last time out, now did he. Do think it's good that Kuyt is being given a rest though. And glad to see Agger seems to be back, though imo he should be starting.

Anyway: come on REDMEN!!!

guess we'll be focusing on the champions league from here on then...

well.. theres always next year i guess  :p

anyways wigan wont have enough in them so not overly wrried about this one... we'r due a win and they'r bound to slip down the form table sooner rather than later...

ill go for 2-0 torres and babel...

time to get everything back on track me thinks and i think Rafa has more than one eye on the chelsea game so hope that doesnt bite us in the a$s... that said i well and truely believe that is going to be a walk in the park so to speak and we'll probably see some nice football while at it.. lucas is always a concern but i believe this is the best time to playing wigan...

mass rotation... ill leave that to mick...

Benayoun and Babel on the wings with Masch and Lucas in the middle is absolutely hideous!

Sh.it, we could be in trouble here

Where's the basketball coach when you need him? I predicted about three weeks ago that we were about to embark on a period of styling, the lights had been dimmed etc etc and got derided.

Here we go. Benayoun presumeably on the right, Lucas in central midfield and Babel on the left.  Never a dull moment anyway.

Needless to say I don't like the team because I think Riera is a better player than Babel, Alonso is a better player than Lucas and Kuyt is a better option out right in a 4-5-1 than Benayoun. I don't think it's the time for rotation, I think it's a mssive game which needs your most massive team. That said, I guess Riera, Alonso and Kuyt will be suitably delayed in their gazelleness for the big games at the end of the season. The variable is of course which competition they'll be in, and if they're in the league, will they be qualification big games or title deciding big matches?

Once again, never one to sit on the fence, and never one to wait till after the event, I'll tell it as I see it. I think the selection is madness. Hopefully now we can win 5-1 like we did last time I said that. For the record, I think we'll win 2-0 and that Gerrard will score at least one goal. It wouldn't surprise me though if we have to bring Alonso on to do it.

Im not going to moan about the team other than why Keane isnt starting. But then again look at what happened at Newcastle.....so it could work out.

Wow, when you put it like that it does sound.... well, pretty shitty tbh :(

Still think we have a slender win in us today though. Hope my gut feeling is right. I do think Mick is right that we'll maybe need to bring on Alonso to achieve it.

:veryangry  :no

Give me strength.

Does Rafa not learn anything, we struggle to create anything when Alonso ain't in the team.
It's gonna be a long 90 minutes.
