Can anyone explain me how "hunt down" and "voluntarily" are compatible? I have some problems with my english, but the way I understand it, if someone donates voluntarily removes the need of hunting him down at all. Or perhaps it's not a misunderstanding but a classical track back to save some face?

Bah. Allowing that views is for the shame of newkit, not mine. I rest assured that one might say such views in a forum like this or while playing the XBOX, but as soon as someone tries to buy an organ in such barbarian ways (which obviously won't be possible but in the black market) he'll be dealt with by the Brittish laws and send him to the proper place. With that I'm calm.

After all UK are a civilised country. When Judge explains that there's a golden rule not to shoot unarmed people in the army, he also implies and let us know that Brittish army has a moral code and rules of engagement these days. That's what I expect of a great nation such as yours. And I don't quite see the day your government will alow citizens trading with human organs.

Donations? for that solidarity is needed. Myself I'm a donor. If we all did that we probably wouldn't have to have this disgusting discussion. My country has a good rate of donations but we could have even more. My wish for my country would be to increase the amount of donnors, and I'd advocate to send organs to UK if there's lack of them there. Needless to say, for free, because a human life is unvaluable and that can't be paid -- well perhaps I'd make you pay the transport costs, the airplane and all that, but not the organ.

Solidarity is what's needed in this donation thing. Nothing else.

hunting down - to scout/look out/search/find
volunteer - a person who takes part/comes forward willingly

hunting down is a term used which is not meant literally.

Ah.

hunt, run, hunt down, track down

pursue for food or sport (as of wild animals); "Goering often hunted wild boars in Poland"; "The dogs are running deer"; "The Duke hunted in these woods"

Nice to know it wasn't used literally, but when I read other expressions like "give me the scalpels" it didn't help me to understand the true meaning  ???

Thanks for clarifying and apologises for my misinterpretation.

Well, I'm not surprised to see that the discussion has returned and I find it interesting how it's been toned down.  So we've been talking about voluntary organ donation all along?  I must have missed that bit in the original posts. ???  I suppose it's been a reasonable discussion all along and it's just "bleeding heart kunts" like myself that read too much into it?  Well, I had to remind myself what it was that got me riled in the first place and it didn't take long.  I've posted some of the more outrageous excerpts below just so people don't get the impression that I'm one of those sensitive political correctness jobsworths that squawks for no good reason.  If you can't see what's wrong with these statements below, I despair:

rather than some primative native who's only contribution is to make more hungry children.

What difference would it make without resources and education? He may make a more aerodynamic spear or a better bow, or maybe paint a better stick man on a wall.

You can all be two faced about it but if it was a member of YOUR family dying because they needed a kidney or some other organ, you would WANT them hunting it down, no matter if it came from the Pope or some other primative native with an exceedingly sharp stick.

The world is hard and if I had to rip the organ out of some little kids belly myself to save a member of my family ...... just show me to the box of scalpels.

before you all start crying about it with your FALSE TEARS just ask yourself which would you want saved, the nomark in a third world country or the person who could save your son or daughters life?

The reason is power and money, we have it and the animals and 3rd world countries don't. So we may as well use that power and money to save people that can and do make a telling contribution rather than some of those that don't/can't.

So, go on.  Discuss your organ harvesting if it's what you want to do.  I still find this whole thing distasteful in the extreme and want no more part of it.  I leave you with this, though.  If kids in the developed world are burning through their livers and other organs at such alarming rates through a hard-partying life style, is it just to harvest organs from the developing world to save them?  Save a million 'no mark' teens today and they'll burn through another million livers tomorrow and all that? ???

I'm sure they'll allow him back if he wants to come back, the mods, nor current nor past, do not like permanent bans.

I didn't see anything wrong with that fellow neither but I normally don't criticise their decissions from outside, because from their point of view they have more information, for instance they can check if a member is an alter ego or they're reported posts.

I think that at some point getting a decission wrong is normal, you only have to be the referee of a football match to know that :D. But making the odd mistake doesn't the mods bad moderators at all, especially these days in which we've had several posters that were wums insulting Liverpool.

P.S. Welcome dude!  :D

Yeah, well, on this topic there's only two ways I can approach it.  The calm approach was locking the thread and looking to move on but I got pulled up for doing that.  The other approach is speaking my mind on this issue and letting the chips fall where they may, mod or not.

Now, I'd prefer that we all just move on and that's what I fully intend to do but not before countering some of the revisionist history concerning what was said in the original thread.

Organ harvesting  - definition

I never said that it had to be involuntary harvesting. I presumed that the organs would be paid for, all the cr@p about guns etc where just used by OTHER people to add to the litlte girl hysteria.  I never mentioned guns, peodophiles or anything of the sort.

The only revisionist history I have done is to tone down my language, not my argument.  Organ harvesting in the People's Republic of China

I think Judge was hoping for a different organ to be transplanted, one from a donkey.
